I just realized that Von Miller and Brock Osweiller are both due to become unrestricted Free Agents after this season. Having seen Justin Houston’s contract, I’m sure Miller will be looking for similar money and I think it is safe to say that if Osweiller doesn’t go straight down the crapper in the last 5 games he will be looking for HUGE money as well. I’m guessing they will both be looking for something in the 5 year/$100 million range. I suspect the donks are going to have an uncomfortable off-season. Read more…

When the game is over, and the clock finally strikes zero, NFL players are free to chat amongst themselves on the field. During this brief period, they talk about all kinds of things, including the way they just played one another.

A few times this season, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce hasn’t exactly liked what he heard.

“I’ve definitely seen a lot more attention (on the field),” Kelce said. “Talking to a couple players after games, it’s not a secret.”

Yet Kelce — a third-year pro in his first season as the Chiefs’ clear-cut No. 1 tight end — Read more…

Not all 6-5 records are created equal. We’ve talked a little bit, here, about the quality of the teams that the Chiefs have beaten on this 5 game winning streak. Let’s put some real numbers to it.

“Next man up” is an easy thing for coaches to say, when inevitable injuries or bad news starts to pile up. But the players who actually have to implement that slogan are still human beings, and sometimes it takes weeks for it to become a reality. So the Chiefs don’t mind admitting it took them…

How did we end up with two Offensive Linemen, Morse and Fisher? Morse was out for a concussion while Fisher was out with a head neck injury. To answer the last question maybe they would have put in Anthony Sherman, he says he likes to block and he has played safety.

From Arrowhead Pride.

The Kansas City Chiefs offensive line is playing well enough against a tough Buffalo Bills team but injuries are becoming a problem. After losing LG Jeff Allen and LT Eric Fisher, the Chiefs announce that C Mitch Morse has a concussion. Read more…

19-30-255. No interceptions. 2 touchdowns. 112.5 rating. He added 35 yards with his legs so a combined 290 yards. And this against a Bills Defense that was supposed to be Hot Ship.

No matter who you are that is a pretty damned good game.

In addition, Alex had 6 passes (that’s 31.5% of his completions) go for 15 yards are more. He had 4 (21%) that went for 32 yards or more. And most if not all of the 30+ yard completions were virtually all in the air not short throws with a long run.
