I see the rankings are out for the college basketball teams and the Kansas Jayhawks are at #1.

So to Tammie and all other Kansas fans like myself, ROCK CHALK!!!!!!!!

I also live near Villanova and like them too, so I'm glad to see they are at #5 (and rated #1 in the Big East).

yeah, my ex was telling me the other day about this since he's a huge KU fan. I like them, but they're not my favorite team.

Bill Self has this program in better shape than ever before.... and that is really saying something. We have so many good players, he is trying to redshirt two players from last years sweet sixteen squad (Mario Little and Travis Relaford) both of whom would start for pretty much every other team in the big12 save for Texas...

if they dont perform well, Self will take them out and play someone who will.. its that simple and thats why his program works so well...the man has a billion 5 star recruits to work with every year :)

In Kansas and Missouri is it uncommon for people to like both of them? Here in Philly people usually like all the college basketball teams here (Villanova, Drexel, LaSalle, St. Joseph's, Temple, Penn). There is some rivalry but really only when they play each other. I didn't realize (if it's the case) that Tigers fans and Jayhawks fans hope each other loses even when they don't play each other.

Around here (I live deep in the heart of MU country, about 20 miles from the University) KU is our biggest basketball rival, while Nebraska is our biggest football rival. You do see a fair amount of KU fans around, becuase they or the parents went to KU. For the most part, KU is our sworn enemy! And of course, most MU fans will take any chance to get a jab in at KU. Its all in good fun though.:bananen_smilies046:
