It needs to be hosted on the internet using a web based site for storing images. I recommend ImageShack® - Image Hosting (http://www.imageshack.us)

Upload the image in question to image shack and then copy and past the BB Code it generates into the sig feature's field and hit, I think, "Submit".

That's all there is to it.
