I think today was a clear reminder that it's not that we have a lack of talent on this team, case in point we did play pitt very well and beat them, it's the fact that the talent on this team is just not smart at all. How they can play a game like they did against the steelers then come out and put on this kind of performance just shows the lack of intelligence in this team.

Gotta disagree. Maybe 2 forward, 2 back, but the Chargers are on FIRE right now, and we're still not that good- this was no surprise at all. What was pleasant to see was what I mentioned above;

Jamaal is looking more and more like he can be our main horse in the running game, but we do need a line-busting power runner, I think. A new O-line wouldn't hurt, either.

Chris Chambers is the best WR we've picked up since Pioli and Haley got here- he's going to pay dividends for us in games we're more closely matched in this year. I hope we have him a couple more years, and that Bowe can compliment him by not getting suspended.

Our defense has some really talented guys on it. It's a shame they are coached like crap, and I do think we're missing some secondary guys and maybe a drain plug for the middle of the D-line.

But the chargers right now- day-um. They're just playing over-the-top, head-on-fire football right now.

And we need a new QB coach.

As I said, I was excited they showed the game here on CBS too. But once it got to 38-14 I knew there was the danger of them switching to another game. Something like if a team is losing by at least 22 points with more than half of the 3rd quarter gone is the rule. (Except if you live in the city or market of the team, of course).

And sure enough, they switched to the Jacksonville-SF game. That was sad. Even though the Chiefs were getting dominated, I still love to watch their every play.

For instance, when the Chiefs play the Browns, I'd MUCH rather watch that game than, say, a game like tonight's New England-New Orleans. Now I AM looking forward to watching that Saints game tonight. Should be a good one. Just saying that watching the Chiefs, no matter their record or their opponent, is ALWAYS my favorite football viewing time.

Well, i think yall have a couple years of layin the foundation to go...yeah the team may be young and inexprienced but yall have some bright spots and if yall can continue to grab quality players through draft and free agency...the sky is the limit obviously...

Hopefully in a couple of years we can be as efficient as the Chargers are now; obviously something to aspire to. Good luck to you guys the rest of the way this season. :bananen_smilies046:
