Looks like the odds makers are going with Houston on this one.

They have Houston -3! :sign0138:

Clearly an indication of how bad Huard played in the pre-season. Also, historically speaking, home teams have dominated Opening Day by a wide margin.

Even so, I'll probably take some action on that line even though I have strict rules against betting on any of my teams. Go Chiefs! I'd be interested to see the over/under. If I'm guessing, I'd say 37.

That might be a nice under bet. I doubt that many oddsmakers are aware of the improvement of the Chiefs defense. Time will tell I guess.

Yeah, I'd go with the under as well. I expect it to be
a low scoring game. I just hope the offense can sustain some drives so that the defense isn't on the field most of the game.

I say we will come out firing and light up the scoreboard. ToGo said it himself, we haven't seen nothing yet!

38-0, with LJ getting first TD, Derrick Johnson first sack, and LJ over 140 yds rushing....

If I were a betting man, I would bet every single Chiefs game this year on the under.

We are talking about Houston here. The Chiefs have to win this one by a big margin. I say we will run all over them and not look back.

I dont Hermmie's putting him on a "leash"

rbedgood

Yeah a "leash"...when you're Larry Johnson and they say they're going to "limit" your carries...what does that really mean...20 carries, 25??? Also word has been that Herman Munster wants to incorporate LJ into the passing game more. It isn't running all over them, but when LJ is getting a screen pass that's basically part of the running/short game. That being said 20 carries and 5-7 receptions is still less than his 30+ from last year, but would allow them to "run all over" Houston.

Well I wouldn't mind seeing him catch a few, something he's been lacking.Imagine getting him the ball on an open screen 6 to 7 yards deep and then letting him turn it on, could be promising. Definitly would add another deadly arrow to the quiver.
