Come close to 2000, if he had started since week one?

Explain your answer.

Teams would have stopped packing the box toward the middle by midseason.

He is just starting to get recognized by opposing DCs as a legitimate threat, and we will start seeing adjustments being made to counter an outside runner.

But that will open other aspects of their defenses up, if we are able to take advantage of it.

That, combined with the beating of being an all-season starter at HB and the potential for fumblitis costing him carries, makes me guess 'no'.

I'd say no because teams would make the adjustment... Ehh couldn't really think of a legitimate reason but I don't think 2000 but he would of got 1000 with ease if he started week 1

Its easier than what you are making it out to be. Chris Johnson WILL break the record no doubt. 124 yards to get it. JC, had he started since week 1, would have been on pace to get it.

Not with this O line and better defenses we played toward the beginning of the year. Teams will catch on eventually especially with a terrible o line and stuff you eventually. He's good but 2000 yards...no chance until we get a good o line.

He is proven that he can run without a line..imagine if he did. He almost has 1000 yards right now, you would need to average 125 a game to get 2000. The only thing thats hard to do is be consistent.

3 people have done it, I am sure had he started the season he would be with in a couple hundred yards.

I would guess not but next year from what I've seen this year I hope he does.

Clearly this line has been good enough to spring him for two TD runs over 40, and one of almost 80. On his 47 yarder, he was never touched.

Not even close, 1500 at most.

He's not big enough to take that kind of punishment. Why would you want him to? Explain your answer... He gets that many carries and his career is cut short by 4 years.

Chris Johnson - Height: 5-11 Weight: 200

Jamaal Charles - Height: 5-11 Weight: 199

That being said I still don't think he would have gotten to 2000, probably around 1300.

I say yes; simply because in the short time he has been the starter he has chewed up yardage like Euell Gibbons in a Grape Nuts commercial. But I've been way wrong before.

I don't think he would have reached 2000 behind this line, but I do believe he would have easily been 2nd in the AFC, which is still really impressive. It's too bad we were wasting time with Captain 4 carries for 11 yards most of the season.

He topped 100 against the Bengals top ranked run D. This kid hasn't even reached his potential yet.

yeah i'm annoyed that LJ didn't get released earlier too! And if he had a better OL heed be rushing for 2000 almost on a yearly basis!

Explain your answer.

No but we would have won more games, because they would be head hunting him which would have meant we would have more wide open WR's.

I agree The Titans have a much better line.
