View Full Version : Gonzo wishing he was back in KC?

It is widely known that TG has had some regrets about leaving KC because of his history in KC and the roots he placed in KC. It was well known and respected that he was going to Atlanta to pursue a Superbowl.

Now it appears that KC is a few pieces away from turning a corner and the game in Denver showed alot. Imagine, Charles, Chambers, Bowe, Marshall and TG playing on offense?

I know Marshall is a reach, but with his disdain of Josh McDaniels he'd probally love to stick it to the donkeys.

Now back to TG. Could TG be back in 2010? Maybe... We sure could use him.

He won't be. He's not a free agent and the Chiefs aren't going to give up anything for him.
I still think it funny he thought he had to go to a contender, and his season ended the same day ours did.:pointlaugh:

I agree- I also find it funny, because I wasn't really happy with Tony ditching KC just to make sure that he got HIMSELF a championship ring.

And didn't get his 1000th catch and the record, either. But not to worry, his first catch next season will do that.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. Yeah the Chiefs had a GREAT game today but it was only 1 game against a Bronco team that once again fell apart at the end of the season. Unless the Chiefs make some major changes and bring in some key players, they're gonna be right back where they were at the beginning of this season.

And no, I don't think Tony wishes he was back in KC.

I think it was actually the Broncos team that everyone expected to see all year. Rather than saying they fell apart at the end of the year, I think it would be safer to say they were playing way over their heads at the start of the year.

He might as well been better off. He would of gone to the probowl, set new records, have kept alot of Chiefs fans around, would of had alot of fan support, and make this team look better. I am sure we would of won a few more games with him...Dallas, Oakland, Jacksonville, Buffalo, Cincy....

A few pieces away from turning a corner. Man you people, one win, and you're rolling out the ticker tape parade. Didn't you idiots say the same thing after the pittsburgh game?

No this team is a work in progress. While there are pieces, there are a massive amount of gaping holes both on offense and defense that need to be filled before we turn any corner.

It still shows improvement. Players just haven't played their potential. Just like in the Cleavland game.

Well by the looks of it, Cassel has regressed, Bowe is becoming a non-factor, and Brandon Carr looks like he forgot how to cover.

But as a whole the team has improved from the beginning of the season, but they're no where close to "turning the corner" as somebody put it.

How has Cassel regressed? He didn't turn the ball over but once, and I am calling out Bobby Wade on that. Run your dam route right.

Bowe isn't there cause Chambers is his go to guy now. Seems that Cassel only throws to the guy mentioned in the huddle, and might need to work on that.

Your right about Carr...but why are you calling this whole team out when your only singling 3 players out?

He wouldn't go to Oakland, nor Denver. SD is out of the question cause they have Gates and Manalmanuma...IDK how to spell it. He wants to come back to the Chiefs, he needs to find a way to do it.

The thing with Favre is that Favre never asked to be released from Green Bay. They let him go. And Favre has never shown any interest (and rightly so) in returning to Green Bay. TG wanted out. He may have burned some bridges in managements eyes. At this point in TG's career, I think Pioli/Haley is/has prepared to move on...

Hey! No idiot's! hahaha :)

It wasn't just "one win"...it was a HUGE win! Especially considering our losing season and low moral as diehard Chiefs fans. We needed that win as fans...the excitement we have now is a result of such, nothing idiotic about that. As well, the game yesterday offered much encouragement and hope for 2010 in many ways for fans.

It's not easy for any team to win in Denver, considering the high altitude, let alone win as powerful and as energetically as we did. Charles set a Chiefs franchise record, and DJ tied an NFL record, we contributed to keeping a division rival out of the playoffs. Those are major accomplishments for Chiefs fans, or fan of any team, regardless.

I agree, we're a work in progress, with much re-building yet to come, however...we may not have "turned the corner", BUT...yesterday's win left me feeling as if we're "coming around the mountain"...literally! I found myself singing...'we'll be coming around the mountain, we'll be coming round the mountain when we come, and we'll be wearing RED when we come!'

I chose to forego the original song lyrics of including 'pajama's' with the red, hahaha. No one is gonna rain on my season ending ticker-tape parade! hahaha.

We are coming around the mountain, and we WILL turn the corner...hopefully in 2010! GO CHIEFS FOREVER!
