I like Kirk Morrison for a LB and Oshiomogho Atogwe at Safety. Anthony Fasano would be a nice pickup at TE too.

Some of the more obvious names that stick out:

-Miles Austin (sure to be resigned)
-Vincent Jackson (sure to be resigned)
-Brandon Marshall (got a shot at him)
-Mike Bell (nice complement for Charles)
-Jerious Norwood (nice complement for Charles)

As I've posted before, If this were a capped year, it could be one of the best ever, Uncapped it stinks.
One name who will be a UFRA either way is an old friend that could help a lot. Weigman still has a couple of years in his tank.

I actually like Norwood a lot and like the idea of having 2 JC type backs, but he hasn't been the same since his concussions.. only 3.3 YPC this season. He's always averaged 5 or 6 for his career.

I agree with having another back with skills comparable to JC. Kepps th defense guessing.

I think what I read was that players have to have played for 6 years in the NFL instead of the usual 4 before they can become an unrestricted FA. That means the player's current team can match any offer and retain the player.

So, it is going to be very difficult to get young players in their prime this off season.

we're not building this team through free agency(thank god) but through the draft. unfortunately vermeil chose to plug in who ever through free agency i dont wanna see us go down that path again.

Julius Peppers will be a FA aswell. He got franchised last year and he also said what wanted to move to a 3-4.. Would be a nice compliment to Hali on the other side

^^^^THIS!!! and to top it off, teams will be able to franchise TWO guys instead of the usual one....if anything happens to move guys, it will be trades
