View Full Version : Shawne Merriman unhappy in SD?
For those of you thinking Shawne Merriman might be available this offseason, here is an interesting article.
Merriman wants "respect" from Chargers - AFC West Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/afcwest/post/_/id/9208/merriman-wants-respect-from-charges)
Unfortunately, since they will probably not renew the CBA, he will be a restricted FA.

He hasn't been the same player after the knee injury.

He's definitely not someone we need here with his off field issues. Especially since we just alleviated that problem by releasing LJ.

I do not want Merriman. Too much off the field issues, and is another LJ in my opinion.

If this was Merriman from a few years ago I would be jumping for the chance to get him. But hes not the player that he once was. I dont think he will get any big offers if they do let him become a free agent.

As soon as the season's over... really?!? Playoff's no less...
I'm glad he's not nor never will be a Chief, perfectly exemplifies the type of player he is. Not likely I'll ever be a fan of him.

I don't want him, he has roid rage and isn't that smart of a player IMO.

I would almost sign him just so he can't end JC's career prematurely.
