When does the compensation Draft picks get award?

Does anyone know what what or if we might get any extra picks?

I believe we get 3 picks, if I remember correctly but I have no idea when they will tell us the rounds of those picks. I'm also curious to know when Free Agency starts

Compensatory picks are awarded each year at the NFL annual meeting which is held at the end of March; typically, about three or four weeks before the draft.

"Restricted free agents: from February 27 to April 17
Unrestricted free agents: from February 27 to July 22 (or the first scheduled day of the first NFL training camp, whichever is later)
Franchise players: from February 27 through the 10th week of the season."

You are right...I found last years dates but here is some current info you all might be interested in.

March 5: New League Year starts, this includes:
- Deadline for submission of qualifying offers by clubs to their restricted free agents whose contracts have expired and to whom they desire to retain a right of first refusal/compensation

- Deadline for clubs to submit offer of minimum salary to retain exclusive negotiating rights to their players with fewer than three seasons of free agency credit whose contracts have expired

- Beginning of free-agent signing period (12:01 AM ET)

- Beginning of trade period (12:01 AM ET)
March 21 – 24 – NFL Annual Meeting
This is when the NFL votes on rule changes and things like that. Nothing terrible interesting usually happens here. There could be a vote on expanding the season this year.
April 22 – 24 – NFL Draft in NYC
New Chiefs! Whahoo! Here is how it breaks down:

Round 1: Thursday, 4/22 6:30-10:30 PM CT
Rounds 2-3: Friday, 4/23 5:30-10 PM CT
Rounds 4-7: Saturday, 4/24 11 AM to 5 PM CT June 1:
– Deadline for old clubs to send tender to unsigned unrestricted free agents to receive exclusive negotiating rights for rest of the season if player is not signed by another club by July 22

- Deadline for old clubs to send tender to unsigned restricted free agents or to extend qualifying offer to retain exclusive negotiating rights

June 15: Deadline for old clubs to withdraw original qualifying offer to unsigned restricted free agents and still retain exclusive negotiating rights by submitting tender of 110 percent of previous year’s salary
July 22:
– Deadline for franchise players to sign new contracts/being traded

- Deadline for tendered but unsigned UFA/RFA to sign with new clubs

July ??: Chiefs open Training Camp, Missouri Western State University, St. Joseph, MO

Aug 7: Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Canton, OH

Aug 8: Hall of Fame Game, Fawcett Stadium, Canton, OH
