Great read. I'll be checking in with my a buddy of mine that is a huge Hawkeye fan. He is the same guy that thought we should have drafted Shonn Greene last year. HE would have ben a perfect complimentary back to JC. Instead we got Alex Magee in the 3rd.

I'm an Iowa student and huge Hawk fan, I've been to every home game for the last two years and some of the road games and have some connections to the team (highschool buddies who are playing). Angerer is an animal, he has extremely good instincts and ability. He's also a classy guy by all accounts, who's a locker room leader. I'd love to see him become a chief. Another guy from Iowa who we should be looking at in the later rounds is Tony Moeaki the tight end. He had injury problems his first 3 years, but had stellar play this year. He has stellar hands, good speed, and most importantly is a great blocker. He has all the tools and drew numerous comparisons to a former Chiefs tight end who shared his name. His stock was lowered a lot by injurys and he will likely still be there in the 5th.

He seems a little undersized to me at 6'1" 235. I'm sure the guy is an animal but I see him struggling in the NFL. I could be wrong though, just my 2 cents.

I've had him in my mock for awhile. Anyone who say the bowl game against GT will remember him taking on Dywer and stuffing in his tracks. If we don't pick McClain he has to be on our big board. Iowa might not get the flashest players, but once they go through that program they do know how to play football.

i still like the TE from USC, Anthony McCoy... he is 6-5, 250, great hands...pretty good speed.

do a youtube search for him.

I would like to have Angerer though, he looks like a Pioli type guy. i think his lack of size may cause him to drop a bit too. I say we should go after him if he is available at a decent pick...
