Scenerio...you can pick one only current player within the entire NFL to add to the Chiefs roster...who would it be and why?

Jeff Saturday. Right now, Center is one of the most important pieces of the line, next to a left tackle.

I think we need a Willfork , or a Jared Allen , or a Maurice Jone Drew, Love that guy !

We really need a NT.

I think Kris Jenkins would be sweet.

If i had to figure in age tho. I guess BJ Raji from the Packers. (too bad we passed on him last year).

If that Big guy (cant recall his name) from Alabama is still avail for our #2 pick we had best pick him up.

Interesting! Hope it keeps going, then when the thread dies out tally up to see which player may have been picked the most.

I like Troy Polamalu...

barring injuries, he was headed for a 2010 defensive MVP... did you see that play he made week one (the one handed interception)... you don't see that kind of stuff from safeties.... he also is a good tackler, a leader, smart, good in coverage, and a hard hitter. and he makes plays.

I think ED Reed is way better..yes, he has been in the leauge longer, but

Ints : 46 Int Return Yards: 1255
8 Defensive TDs, 1 Safety, and 9 FF

Vs. Polamalu

Ints: 20 Int Return Yards: 227
2 Defensive TDs, 0 Safeties and 6 FF

Troy may be alittle fast than Ed, but I would take ED any day. He breaks his own records.

02-01-2010, 12:25 AM
I am torn between Nick Mangold and Vince Wilfork. Either one would fill a big need on our lines and eliminate a big draft day need.

I would have to lean toward Wilfork, though. It is easier to find a dominant offensive lineman than a dominant defensive lineman in the draft. Drafting a DL-man is more of a gamble than drafting an OL-man. If you scout correctly, you usually get what you expect out of an OL-man. DL-man take a lot of work and development over a couple years to reach their potential.

How about Darren Sproles? Our kick and punt return games would be instanly top grade, and think of him and Charles both swinging out in the flats. No way you can cover both.

I would likely choose one of these fellas...

LB - 49ers - Patrick Willis
QB - Packers - Aaron Rodgers
OT - Jets - D'brickashaw Ferguson
S - Steelers - Troy Polomolu
LB - Bengals - Rey Maualuga
