It's sorta slow with it being off season, so I'm trying to think of discussion topics...since I've not much else to do on a cold, snowy Friday night, haha.

I will do this by the players that I feel are the least expendable, as we move forward.

1. J.Charles
2. B. Albert
3. M. Cassel
4. B. Flowers
5. D. Bowe
6. D. Johnson
7. B Waters
8. D. Williams
9. G. Dorsey
10. B. Carr

However, I imagine the intent was to list the players who performed the best in '09...

1. J. Charles
2. D. Williams
3. B. Waters
4. B. Albert
5. B. Flowers
6. D. Bowe
7. G. Dorsey
8. R. Succop
9. D Colquit
10. D. Johnson

Off topic...Connie Jo I have some bad news...some are saying Cottam's neck injury is pretty bad...dont know for sure if he will play again :( I only mention this because I really liked him too and thought for sure he could be our starting TE next season. Hopefully its overblown and he comes back healthy though

Oh my, that is bad news. I hadn't heard that. I'll keep him in my Chiefs prayers...not so much for us fans, but for him and his family. Thanks for letting me know, otherwise I wouldn't have known. :)

This is the last I've heard about Cottam's injury.

Kansas City Chiefs - Insider Blog: Awards Week (http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/2010/01/18/insider_blog_awards_week/)

Cottam should recover just fine from his injury. He has all the physical characteristics that a team could desire from a tight end. Will he take the next step in 2010? Cottam is one of the top players to watch this offseason.

Here would be my top 10:

1. Jamaal Charles
2. Brandon Flowers
3. Tamba Hali
4. Dwayne Bowe
5. Brian Waters
6. Brandon Albert
7. Ryan Succop
8. Dustin Colquitt
9. Chris Chambers
10. Demorrio Williams

The order of the last 5 isn't really set, but I feel pretty strongly that my top 5 are the 5 best players on the team.

I haven't heard anything other than what Yashi posted on Cottam.
If they are on our roster and performing, I love them. Go Chiefs!!

Thats bad news, He was starting to play real good right before he got hurt. He was one of the few that was catching the ball. I hope its not bad and he will be back and playing next year. But with neck injuires you never realy no.

I think our lack of LBs ups his value to me.

Plus, he played pretty solid all year, leading the team in tackles, with 117 and adding 6 passes defended.

He is still under 30, and seems to be one of the few players who was able to defend against the run.

Not a player hat we can afford to lose right now.
