Cody weighed in at 354. He could be on the Chiefs radar.

I guess that means he lost 20 lbs. There may be some hope for him.

I was hearing that Cody had to be in the 340-350 range to be considered a first round pick... i sure hope he slips. We'll have to hold our breath at #s 27 and 28 where Dallas and SD pick. If he slips past them, he'll fall to us. None of the other teams in front of us run a 3-4.

It would be awesome to have him in a Chiefs uniform next year

I hope he gets past SD and Dallas
My only worry would be SD b/c of Williams injury last year.

But with AJ Smith and Norv Turner making the calls I'm sure they will mess something up:)

I was glad to see Cody lost some weight. Hopefully he keeps it off, and if so I wouldn't mind us taking him at all with our 2a pick. I think Haley's infamous workouts would make Cody a monster.

I know the Vikings don't run a 3-4, but does anyone else think they might consider Terrance Cody? Pat Williams is 37 and they'll need someone to replace him. Does anyone think they might be some cause for concern as well?

Denver, Buffalo, Miami, Pittsburg all need NT's at some point in the draft. And yes some 4-3 teams will want run stuffing DT as well.
Let's see how he does in the bench press b4 we get on his band wagon.

I predict a terrible bench press, maybe 20 reps. Cody's strength doesn't match his size at all.

Golden Tate ran an unofficial 4.36. I might start mocking him to us at 2a, based on the Weis connection and a little wishful thinking. He gives us some insurance in case we can't re-sign Chambers or if he disappoints next season. I'm thinking Cam Thomas at 2b unless Cody somehow slips through the cracks.

I'm thinking the Chiefs will have to take him or Williams in the first round to get either. I wouldn't be surprised if they do either, especially after the Jackson choice last year.

That's what I'm thinking. He probaably sat in the steam room to lose the weight, now he'll be weak as hell.

Actually he opted not to take part in the bench press. Figures. Cody is seriously buyer beware. I'd much rather have Cam Thomas.

I have one thought on Cam Thomas.
His production during the year( his career actually) wasn't that good, then he comes out in the senior bowl and is a stud, hummmm?

Has anybody seen the '80s football movie The Wildcats with Goldie Hawn. Cody reminds me of the Fat kid that keeps pulling money out of his pants. LOL!

I wouldn't be surprised if another one of the 3-4 teams tries to trade up in front of us to get Cody if he is still on the board at the start of the 2nd round.

I would love to get Cody...but the draft is crazy...If he isn't there, I wouldn't mind taking the kid from East Carolina either

Linval Joseph
~6' 5" and 320+lbs
He was productive as a Junior at ECU and had a great showing at the combine..

Could be a steal in the 4th or 5th round

For sure. Joseph is probably my 4th choice at NT now, maybe even 3rd if you consider that Cody could easily be a colossal bust. Measured 6'4" 328 with 39 bench reps and a ridiculously good 40 time for his size. 40 is irrelevant for a DT, but it shows he's a good athlete.
