with Marshall out of the division (thank god) and on his way to Miami ..Ted Ginns future as a dolphin is slim do you think with all of piolis connection to parcels that the chiefs can or should make a trade for Ginn mayb a 5th rounder ...he will give the deep ball threat and is a home run hitter on returns?

Ted Ginn is a terrible receiver. I wouldn't bring him in as anything other than a return guy.

I can't see the Dolphins trading him for less than a 2nd, just due to his speed and KR/PR skills. And although I'd like to have Ginn to return kicks and stretch the field, I don't see us giving up that much.

I think the Dolphins can use Ginn as a #2 or #3. IMO he becomes even more valuable for them now that they have Marshall

They have a lot of other receivers they're high on. Brian Hartline, Davone Bess, Greg Camarillo.

i heard they are almost positive they are trading him and should not ask for more then a 5th rounder 4th at most

If the Dolphins are willing to trade him for that, then we should trade for him. I doubt they will trade him for that little, but I hope I'm wrong.

I agree. No way is Ginn worth a 2nd like was mentioned earlier. 4th is pushing it. I'd want him on this team as a rturn guy

Was just going to post that. Here's a link confirming it.

Surely Pioli's father-in-law would have given the Chiefs 1st dibs on Ginn. What gives? Parcels must have told Pioli that he wasn't worth a 5th rd pick???...

What does it say when a 9th overall pick is traded for a 5th rounder 3 years later? We really don't need to be wasting time with a bust.

So the dolphins essentially traded Ted Ginn for Santonio Holmes. That's not bad at all!

The Jets got Holmes for a 5th. The Dolphins got Marshall for two 2nds.
Little mix-up of Parcells teams? :D

Ginn is gone to the 49ers
Niners acquire WR Ginn, a former first-round pick, from Dolphins (http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d81791788&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true)

Not a huge loss. The last thing Cassel needs is another tiny handed ball dropper. We need a reliable target to play the slot, not another severe disappointment.

I would rather draft Jordan Shipley.

Agreed.
Or even one of the KR/PR specialists like Trinton Holliday from LSU or Brandon Banks from K-State late/undrafted would be an option...could be the next Sproles, u never know.
