I dont know why everyone is so hyped up on Bulaga. Doent anyone know that he said he was skipping his senior year and a chance at an NCAA title because he has a thyroid problem and doesnt know how many years he will be able to play? I dont think Pioli will waste a 5 pick on someone that risky. If he takes a tackle, why would he take one that might only play for 5 years instead of one that is either equally as good or a little worse but will play for 15 years? I want to know what you all think about this situation.

I find that interesting because every article I've found says that it was a viral infection of the thyroid and that he was out for three weeks and it's behind him now.

As for him saying that why on earth would a draft pick say that? If he really said that he'd be shooting himself in both feet and maybe in the knee caps just for good measure. No draft pick or agent would ever be dumb enough to say that. So to me it is just pure speculation unless you can find the quote or an article saying it was anything more than a one time thing.

you may have read a different artice about his thyroid problem, it was some sort of virus which attacked his thyroid causing fatigue, it has run its course and since has been examined by two different specialist which have stated in writing this will not affect his playing football and Bulaga has given copies to all teams at the combines.

I also grow weary of the Buluga talk. He is not even a left tackle by most standards. Taking him at five would propbably be a mistake. No Dan Williams either. Enough reaching for d line!!! You know who I would like to see picked at 5...

I hate to say it but I grow weary of the Berry talk. We're not going to take him at 5. He may be the best safety in the history in the nfl and at 5 he'd still be over paid. I just want the draft to get here already so we can all be on the same collective page of saying we hate the pick or saying we love the pick.

I've grown weary of the Berry Talk also. From recent discussions I have heard from actual NFL personel who scout these players, don't have him as highly rated as the fans do. They don't even have him rated as the highest safety in the draft as far as being an NFL talent.

However, the same scouts also have Trent Williams ahead of Bulaga and possibly ahead of Okung.

In the end, I don't really care as long as they perform. The last two future Hall of famers that I couldn't believe actually fell to us haven't faired so well, (Dorsey and DJ)

So far this off season has been some what pleasant. I hope the chiefs find some cement in this draft that will stick around for a while.

As I am sure many no i was never high on the Berry talk. I have said many times it wont matter who we have back there if we dont get a pass rush then our D is going to struggle. I would much rather get the bigger needs taken care of then deal with safety.

I totally agree with you here! I just want a good draft pick that will finally stand out on the field. Especially the late round picks where Pioli is supposed to be so good at.

Also if Bulaga only had a virus, I will be fine with that pick.

I'll be thrilled to see them take any LOT prospect in the first. Roaf retired four years ago. And we have not made a serious attempt at filling that void yet.

I like Albert, but he has not done well at LOT. He was a blue-chip OG prospect though. Why not try him out at that position?

If we wind up with a stud LOT and Albert proves to be a stud OG, then alot of the problems on offense will be alleviated.

How great would it be to have Lilja, Waters and Weigmann fighting it out for the opportunity to start?

Not to mention the improved run-blocking, and time in the pocket for our QB.

If you can solve so many problems with one pick, then you just have to try it.

Having said all that, I'd still be pretty happy if we work something out with The Ravens for, LOT, Gaither. That could have the same effect for a 2nd round pick, instead of a first.

Suh can't fit our 3-4, luv the guy but we can't use him...Trent williams is a better LT than Bulaga and all the combine highlites on Berry he drops 2 of three passes. not important i know but maybe a bad omen. trading for the raven LT "name escapes me at the moment", only 24 years old 6'9" 324lbs could anchor the line for 10years and can be had for a 2nd round pick could allow us to trade down and start loading up on defense

Although he isn't the biggest guy many scouts believe he can play the NT position in the NFL because of his strength and his ability to take on a double-team...(similar to Jay Ratliff for the Cowboys)

Also, he could play the 3-4 DE ... but that would mean that Dorsey would have to go ... Damn, SUH should have come out last year, maybe we would have taken him instead of Jackson :-)

Ultimately, if he were there (which he won't be) we would have invested $150 million into our D-Line

While I would love to have Suh, I can't swallow drafting another D Lineman with our first. However, he is athletic enough he could play ILB, DE, NT and safety if we needed him to. I am not a Nebraska fan, but some of our best players came from that school. Will Shields, Neil Smith, Eric Warfield.. (JK)
