Biggest bust in NFL history? I think so.

I love that the two biggest busts ever have been a Raider and a Charger.

Anytime Al Davis suffers, my soul rejoices a little bit.

I mean, CLEARLY the man is the Devil.

I hate the Raiders so much, I don't have any hate left for anything else.

This is really sad news. I would haved loved for our revamped defense to get a shot at Russell.

Definitely the biggest bust. I wish he could stick around one more year though so our new secondary could pad their INT numbers.

Much bigger bust than Leaf. At least Leaf bounced around the league a couple years as a backup/reclamation project before he lef tthe NFL. No team in the league will touch Russel with a ten foot pole after the Raiders cut him. He won't even find a team in Canada.

EDIT: And unlike Couch, Ki-Jana Carter, and others, Russell doesn't even have injury to blame. It was just a lack of work ethic more than anything else.

That would have been nice to see. I was hopeing he would be the QB for life for the raiders but oh well.

How long until McDaniels signs him? Aren't they in need of another QB who has had a chance as a starter and not lived up to expectations?

... a couple links:

In a breaking story out of the Oakland Raiders camp, the team is getting ready to release their once potential superstar quarterback JaMarcus Russell. (http://sports.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978203025) ...... April 28th

and..

Tom Cable says JaMarcus Russell can compete with Jason Campbell for Raiders' starting job (http://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2010/04/tom-cable-says-jamarcus-russell-can-compete-with-jason-campbell-for-raiders-starting-job/1) ..... April 26th

Jason Whitlock says it best:

"Allegedly, Romeo and Charlie Weis are ina huge spat over JaMarcus. Romeo think Jamarcus is the run-stuffing DT he needs for 3-4 scheme. A lot of teams have Jamarcus high on free-agent big board. Kiper thinks he's the next Willie Roaf."

Now that is pretty funny.

I think the "Locker Room" is better suited for this thread.

Don't hurt yourself Chiefster, by thinking! At our age we need to conserve our thinking for more important things, than stinking faders.:D
