I'm still confused by this. Why did we bring this guy in? He's called a "return-specialist" but didn't we just get rid of one of those who also tied the single-season return record? We have signed a bunch of new receivers and I don't see this guy getting on the field with the offensive unit. Especially now that we have activated Sippio.

All I've seen this guy do is fumble the ball so far and he seems like he is always trying to force something to happen when I see him return. Much like Dante, but Drummond doesn't even have the moves that Hall did.

For the life of me, I just can't figure out the reasoning behind bringing this guy in and cutting some of the guys we did. I think we may find that we would have been just as well off to have one of our young, back up receivers handle the return duties.

I agree. Another dumb move. I think returners are overrated. You could have Michael Bennett return kicks and punts. Another whatif - Why the h#ll didn't we go after Drew Bennett. Sure, he's hurt now but one heck of a receiver.

I don't see why we got rid of Phinisee for this guy. I haven't seen anything that impresses me about him yet. I would compare Phinisee to Hall, only he knows how to move the ball forward.

That's the guy I was trying to think of that we cut. I agree. We could have held on to him instead of paying this Drummond character to come suck it up for us.

I don't think Phinisee was going to be anything special nor am I enthrauled with the fact that we brought in yet another aging veteran. Atleast Phinisee was young I guess. The only thing I can say is that thoughout his career, atleast he has run forward and doesn't do all that dancin that Hall did.

I can remember screaming at the TV, as Hall could hear me,: "RUN FORWARD!!!!!!!!!!!"

I don't know that he would have been great, either. But at least we wouldn't be paying some old guy to fumble returns when that's his only job. It just seems dumb to me to bring this guy in when we could have given the job to a young receiver, allowing him learning experience.

This would be the Herm Peterson reasoning.
