Matt Cassell will come into his second year even though im not a fan im sure he will be better.
We added another good RB so that's a step up.
The O-line looked better toward the end of last season.
Our Db's are a big step up.
We picked up a potential threat on as a slot receive.
But we did little to nothing on stuffing the run and rushing the QB.

I think we will be a better team with better coaches, but I don't expect us to go to the playoffs if we do that's awesome but I will be very happy if we can go 7-9 and have good solid games where we don't look like amateurs. What are your expectations?:chiefs:

I still have the Chiefs at 8-8 with a strong possibility at 9-7. A big win at home Monday Night provides early exciting momentum heading into Cleveland, which a fired up Chiefs team should win easily. Then you get the 49'ers at home with an excited crowd. A 3-0 Start gives a great hope for a winning season that features an easier schedule.

So basically you agree with me.

19-0 and a superbowl win :D

I can really see 9-10 wins on the year. With the rams that should be a win. The cards not that Warner is gone 49ers and seahawks all being toss up games. Raiders broncos and chargers could all be splits. I think this team can sneak into the playoffs. Maybe I am thinking more with my heart but A guy can hope can't he.

Nothing wrong with that, but I always hope for the best and plan for the worst if we can go 50/50 I will be over the moon.

if the chiefs break even at 8-8...i have no words to describe the emotions i'll feel

if the chiefs win 7 games i'll be ecstatic.

if the chiefs win 6 games with 10 reasonable/close losses i'll be happy.

It all rides on Cassel's ability to get rid of the ball and our front 7. If they play to their potential then they could be decent to good. I have the most faith in Dorsey having a breakout year. He has gotten a year under his belt in his new postition and should put up some tackles. I am excited for Belcher and Studebaker to work with Crennel. If they get some effective blitz packages together then our secondary will be a nightmare for opposing QBs.

And to prove my excitement for this season I am gonna smack a horse in the junk!!!

remember we thought we would crush Cleveland last year. They broke out all over us. We honestly havent fixed the gaping hole that they easily exposed on us last year. I think we are gonna be 7-9 or 8-8 also. We still need to fix our defense, and until we do that I think we are not a REAL playoff team.

I think the D line is finally showing some promise. The O line scares me. But I'm gonna go along with 7-9 or 8-8. I am unashamedly a Matt Cassell fan. If he can get 3 steps before 1000lbs of D line falls on him, the offense might just come alive this year. A key to my nervous optimism is that we finally don't have an offense built around the quitter.

10-6, our d line is going to step it up, if not then thats alot of money down the drain,,, alot. I think dorsey showed us a run stoper thats gonna really step it up. jacksons had a year at the end of a three four d hes gotta show hes the next richard seymour. D tackle is gonna be a rotation until someone steps up. Our linebackers have to prove thereselves, dj should step into a leadership role, i see vrabel moving into the middle, hali is gonna explode as a blitzer, and belcher might be the shock of this season, also studebaker could have some great playing time, wishful thinking but who knows will see how this season goes, but this season feels different, feels right, upgraded stadium superbowl coaches and speed. will see but i see us shocking everyone

I can only assume when you put "Quitter" your reffering to Brodie Croyle, if so that's a dick thing to say. I don't feel he ever quit on us, he got injured there's a big difference.

I'd bet all my money that he is talking about Larry Johnson.

I'm feeling a 9 or 10 win season optimistically, but I'll be disappointed with anything under 7 wins. I expect our D-line to step up this year. Like its been said a trillion times, it takes time for Dlineman to develop. Jackson will have a tremendous year. Just check out his stats the 2nd half of the season.

Tyson Jackson: Game Logs (http://www.nfl.com/players/tysonjackson/gamelogs?id=JAC610518)

I expect others to develop this year to with more game experience.

I think this could be a refernce to Larry Johnson, or it could also be "The Former Chiefs Player Who Shall Remain Nameless But Who Now Plays For Atlanta!"

Yeah, I'm talking about !@#* Johnson. He was supposed to take pressure off Croyle and Cassell and instead made them have to carry all the weight of the offense.

I go back and forth on this all of the time. I think we are a little better in terms of team talent. Not leaps and bounds better, but better nonetheless.

I think the single largest improvement will be the addition of a full time Offensive ccordinator and the addition of a Defensive coordinator who is good. To say I wasn't a big fan of clancy would be a huge understatement. The second biggest improvement on this team this year will be Matt Cassel. Asking him to learn a brand new playbook 1 week before the season started was beyond ridiculous and cost this team a few wins last year. Cassel will have the whole pre-season to practice with this offense and learn the playbook. He should have a better OL this year as well. The addition of Thomas Jones and McCluster also gives him more weapons. The late breakout of Jamaal Charles last year will also help to keep defenses honest at the beginning of the season. He's a home run threat if he gets to the 2nd level and teams will have adjust accordingly.

The key to this season in my opinion will be what Crennel can do with the existing defensive players we have. We have a pretty good secondary on paper. I expect to see a lot of safety blitz and 8 men in the box.

If Cassel stays healthy all season, I think it would be a disappointment if this team didn't win at least 8 games.

with more time and coordinators who won't be fired after preseason, we'll be able do more with our veterans as well as cash in with our upgrades. the beginning of last season and lj left or season in chaotic ruins. only when the dust settled did we see improvement and potential. i feel this season will be a shocker for chief fans and critics! its ok to be blindly optimistic!

I will likely keep expectations at about 6 wins, predicition at 7 and hope for a winning season.

Keeping the expectations at 6 wins gives the staff a bit more leeway. But those six wins had better be spread out and not all lumped together on the schedule. They had also better not be against just the worst teams.

I expect a convincing 6 wins, or better, to keep me in support of the coaching staff.

I kinda like the coaching staff particularly the offensive and defensive coordinators, but I'm just a silly, sentimental homer that way. :D

Me too. I think Haley made some mistakes last season. But that was last season.

But if they don't improve this team, then they will fall out of my favor.

I dont mean to be negative nancy but, without an identity on D, i dont see how we make it past 500.

I say 4-12.

I hope Im wrong.

I hope we are the surprise team of 2010.

We are a 3-4 D. Who is our NT?

Everybody know htat if you are a 3-4 D. That you need a significant NT. WE DONT HAVE ONE!!!!

If the Chiefs win seven games, we should throw them a parade.

The big question is Cassel. He's owed a very large bonus next offseason. If he does as badly this year as he did last year, we're going to need a new QB. If he does great, then we don't.

Haley definately made his share of mistakes last year, I feel like he coached preseason type football most of the year, meaning he did player evaluation all year rather than play to win........All that being said I will not go against him yet, as he and GM have made huge improvements in just coaching staff alone and I'm excited to see how there strategy works out...theres more than one way to built a super bowl team, Right now I'm possitively excited to sit back and watch the new show of the NFL.

9 and 7 for the Chiefs!:chiefs:

I think that both Haley and Pioli came to the team last year and had no idea who was going to be a good player and who wasn't. they drafted players last year based on evaluations done by scouts who prepped all year for Herm Edwards' style of play.

I think they accepted that last year we would suck, and simply put the screws to all the players to see who would fold and who would flourish.

Larry Johnson folded.
Tamba Hali flouished.

This year, I think all of the players know the expectations on them, and I actually think the team is going to be significantly better.

I still would like to see us get a major upgrade at the ILB position. We need a thumper who will stuff the run in the middle so that DJ can run free. If DJ doesn't re-sign this offseason, we will need ANOTHER ILB.

I don't think our nose tackle situation is as dire as everyone else does, but I do believe we need to draft one soon.

I Am Thinking More Like 10-6 Season. Last Year With Todd Haley Being The Offensive Coor. And Head Coach Really Put A Daper On The Teams Performance. Matt Cassel Could Not Get Relaxed And Play His Game With Todd Haley Cursing Him Out On The Sidelines. We Have The Players On Defensive And Better Def. Coor. Too.
