One of the best team players in the history of the Chiefs. It would be great to have several players with his leadership.

This guy was a Chief! He became more than we expected, when he first came to us. I am so glad that he is retiring as a Chief! Those donks in the mountains loss, became a huge gain for us in Eddie! God Bless and may you have a great retirement.

I really liked Eddie and have a lot of great memories because of him. The most memorable one being the OT catch against the Packers that put the nail in the coffin. Probably not a guy who is ring of fame worthy (even though there is no such thing anymore) but still a great contributor and dependable player during the Chiefs most dominant offensive days.

The thing I loved most about Eddie was he was a bit of a suspect character when we signed him. There was the whole retirement issue... I was definitely questioning the guy's scruples, but when he got here, he was a class act, a true CHIEF all the way through and it was an honor to have him on our side.

I just really love the fact that he has chosen to retire a Kansas City Chief! Not many players come back to KC to do that.

Would be kinda of cool if he could become part of our WR coaching staff for leadership to our younger guys. Unless he is playing this season that is, I did not see anything in the link that said if he was playing or just retiring which is what I am thinking will happen. Glad to see it happen the NFL needs more of this type of thing to happen.

That wouldn't upset me in the least.
