Not confirmed by Chiefs yet but on arrowhead pride they just posted up that brad cottom failed his physical and was waived.

He did look good at times. He probably didn't have much of a shot though at making the team with his injury history, Leonard Pope still being on the team and the team using a mid round draft pick on Tony Moeaki.

Indeed, I was very impressed with Cottam at times, but the cards simply didn't fall for him. If Moeaki stays healthy, he could be VERY good.

Seeing that one of the 3 players that the Chiefs signed today is a TE I would think that this is true. I guess his neck injury cost him big time.

I was just reading an article on KC Chiefs about that today. The fact that he was injured and his prognosis on the season came down to medical clearance. I am not surprised if his medical clearance did not come through.

Just to remind you all of what led to this:

That was tough for anyone, most of the rest of the population would have been paralyzed. The buy is lucky.

That's why you never, ever go airborne like that.

Once Pope was brought in and they drafted Moeaki, his days were numbered and didn't have a chance of ever playing and maybe not making the team regardless of the injury.

Let's just hope Moeaki can stay healthy. I really look forward to seeing this guy in the pre season games.

I wont believe it until I see it from the Chiefs.

He's being waived because he's out for 2010, so he was injure/waived. He's not vested, so the Chiefs have to let him pass through waivers, and then they can put him on IR for the season.
