As I thought, everyone would be complaining about the first drive on defense and lack of offense on the first few drives.

It's clear that Charles is way better than Jones. Why on earth he's starting, I'll never know. Didn't really get the passing game involved while Cassel was QBing, but Atlanta didn't either.

Decent first half, hope to see the passing game get going for the 1st stringers against the Bucs.

I don't get concerned much over a pre-season game, they're only practice games...a valuable tool for the coaches to evaluate, etc..

I read nothing into the first preseason game.

Me either except for the stand outs, javier, charles,cluster. We got hosed on a few plays like the 1st down they got after thier 15yd penalty??? but we still held them. The first drive bothered me, 1st team could not stop the run, then they did hold em though.
Palko has a weak arm thus the INT thus Missing a TD pass to a wide open reciever deep down the sideline because his arm is so weak he cant throw that controled deep pass.

That is a long way, and to try to do it with the caliber of and speed of NFL players coming at you to stop you from kicking that ball! Ryan will be do fine, I think, that Mr Irrelevant, of the 2009 draft will be the next Chief Hall of Fame Place Kicker!

COOL!! Yep...I can do internet, haha. My satellite service for my internet is $60 monthly, but with living so far out, it's my most feasible & affordable source for interacting with 'humans', lol...so don't discontinue it.

My son & his wife don't live as far from me as my daughter & her family. My son's wife barrel races though, and their weekends are often dedicated to her passion for barrel racing, attending shows/rodeo's. If they're home, I can watch games with them on Sunday's...but likely that won't happen until colder weather is here.

:lol: I could do that, my son has a key to my house after all, and does make himself at home if I'm gone somewhere for a couple days, like when I went to Georgia. He check's on my dogs in the morning & early evening, fills food & water bowls, keeps an eye on things. He'll also drink any beer I have in the frig, and eat whatever food I have that appeals to him, lol. I'm good with that though, I like that he feels comfortable and makes himself at home. He's doing me a huge favor, so beer and food in return is no problem, lol. Forgetting to turn off the garden hose for two days after filling the dogs water bowls isn't so good though, hahaha.

There are not to many teams that impress with there first pre season game.

Again, one bad drive on defense for the starters, and two bad ones on offense. I think it was the third drive when the offense hit it's stride with Charles. The defense was stout after that opener.

And before people come flying in saying "OH BUT THE FALCONS WERE PLAYING SCRUBS AFTER ONE DRIVE LOLZ!" only Turner was out after the first drive.

Ryan stayed in for 2 drives, and the rest of the offense was in through the beginning of the 2nd quarter, similar for the defense. So don't give me any of that scrubs bull.

Yeah, on the opening drive. Just look at it as one bad drive, not a season killer. And I was actually impressed with the pressure, we just couldn't bring the QB down. The OL is a concern, but hopefully they'll gel as preseason goes along.

im not too worried about the o line, they came together decently at the end of last season, and that is without the additions of lilja and wiegmann, both of whom are serviceable.

got my tickets to the SD Monday night home opener! flying in from Denver on Sunday.... cant wait : ) it will really suck for me if we lose though lol
