Frank Boal with 810. Just said that they had a 4th QB practicing. Croyle was dressed but was not practicing. Apparently he got hurt in the game on Friday. They think the 4th QB may be Matt Guitierrez, but only think that because he is wearing #9. They said Palko was running with the second team.

Look, I know that some Chiefs fans have been enamored with Croyle ever since we overdrafted him four years ago. But we need to admit he will never be healthy and dump him. We should have developed a legit second option (ie one whose bones aren't made of glass) a long time ago.

I don't blame Croyle for getting hurt all the time. But it is what it is.

I don't recall Croyle every completing a substantially long pass. To me it looks like he going through is progressions with the intent of dumping it off to the safety valve. His two long passes on Friday was 5 yards out of bounds and the other intercepted.

IMO he's been paid well enough to stand around holding a clipboard. Lets find a #2 who can actually bring something to the table besides a broken bone if he ends up having to play a few games.

LOL, Thigpen has really been lighting things up too!!

I thought you were being sarcastic until I read the box score. 10/19 for 145 yards on two scoring drives. It was such a terrible mistake to trade him. Especially since I have the feeling the only reason they did so was to avoid any QB controversy between Thigpen and Cassel.

If Buffalo's front office has any brains, they'll trade one of their three QBs plus a pick to Miami for Thigpen and instill him as their day 1 starter.

Croyle wasn't injured. He didn't dress, because no one did. The team got the day off.

The "4th quarterback" was an assistant coach that they tricked into getting into uniform, because they said they needed him to practice with the team. It was a practical joke.

They didn't sign another Qb that was a joke.. But brodie is hurt.

Brodie Croyle (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/2361/Brodie_Croyle) wasn't dressed out for the morning practice and had a brace on his arm.

and at end of haley's press conference today they asked him about it and he said he wouldn't talk about it.

Chiefs Sign New Quarterback?
Rumors were swirling when a few members of the media saw a fourth quarterback walk from the practice field this morning wearing jersey #9. With Brodie Croylehttp://www.chiefscrowd.com/forums/images/imported/2010/08/28.jpg (http://www.kcchiefs.com/team/roster/brodie-croyle/444c849e-1fc9-406a-8245-00380332d415/) not dressed in full pads, speculation that the club had brought back former #9, Matt Gutierrezhttp://www.chiefscrowd.com/forums/images/imported/2010/08/28.jpg (http://www.kcchiefs.com/team/roster/matt-gutierrez/f7c5073e-2240-46ec-83b4-582b7f615268/), began to grow.
It turns out that the man wearing #9 was the victim of a practical joke, and not a new signal caller.
“Once we figured out what we were doing this morning, we had a good practical joke and figured that it was also the time for that,” Haley explained. “(Offensive Quality) Coach Nick Sirianni, we somehow convinced him that he was actually going to be in practice; and somehow he believed us. He actually put the entire uniform on, so it was good.”
The team never took a snap this morning, but Sirianni drew plenty of laughs anyway.

I feel bad for a Kid Rock related friend of mine...he & his wife have been huge Brodie Croyle fans since his college QBing days. They named their first born son, "Brodie" in honor of Croyle, seriously, they did. They were so excited the Chiefs drafted him, and just knew he would become a legendary NFL QB. :(

The joke appears to be this source. Brodie was on a bike last night and this morning. They are bringing in another Arm. When Haley was asked about it he said, he does not talk about players not on the field. Then stated they had to bring in a guy who would fit their team and their terminology, so it is some QB from the rookie camp that they thought very highly off and recommended to other teams to sign. I don't know who that is. I just heard the press conference today from Haley so the Source is Haley.

He also got on Nick Wright for askng him questions unrelated to football on the field. Nick asked why where the Chiefs forcing some players to stay in hotels after camp breaks instead of letting them go home. Haley said, I was not aware of that and Nick start questioning him more trying to get something out and Haley just basically said shut up, enough... Lets talk football and not stuff related to the organization.

New QB for real this time

The Chiefs did add a quarterback, Bill Stull, who played in college at Pittsburgh. He attended the Chiefs' rookie camp in the spring on a tryout basis.
Brodie Croyle has an injured right arm and did not participate in Monday's practice.
Former Kansas State defensive lineman Jeffrey Fitzgerald was waived to clear roster room for Stull.

Croyle needs to be euthanized.

I sometimes cannot believe the lengths that people go to to try and convince us that a guy is so much better than he is. I know I am the same way with Pollard to a point, but at the same time, Croyle? He has never, NEVER shown any sign of brilliance that would make him a top prospect QB in this league. At least with Pollard, he put up some numbers that showed his worth and I hate to lose any player that shows signs of potential.

Aside from a cannon arm, Croyle has shown nothing.

Hopefully Haley will FINALLY realize that Broken Croyle will never be anything more than a HoF flag football QB. He's always hurt and when he is in live game situations he makes bad decisions.

Yes I know he's the king of preseason and flag football but the guy can't finish a quarter let along a football game! Dump him and let's free up a spot for a football player that can stay on the field longer than a trip up the field.
