Wow, I forgot about Sims. That is a bad memory for sure! I hope JC knocks him over on his way to a score. Watching Sims flop around all over the place is something that I am sure Buc's fans are getting sick of like we did. Hopefully the first team offense has a little more creative scheme to move the ball this weekend. The Chiefs need a good showing for a good, well deserved confidence boost!

It does show that they are scheduled to play it here. I have watched many things from this site. Most of the time the picture and quality is perfectly fine. Once in a while it gets a little choppy but it hasn't been very often.

With the exception of the Jones fumble, which the ball was ripped out, all of the other balls on the ground have been from players reaching for extra yards and the ground causing the fumble. We kept possession on all but I'm not thrilled with that tactic. Have seen too many balls get ripped out while reaching. Tuck the darn ball away and get back in the huddle!!!!

Cassel played well statistically and in recognizing the defense. Rushing was pretty good, no penalties is excellent! We just need to up the game a little more on the defensive side of the ball and we may walk away with a win tonight. Hopefully Cassel will play a little more, y'all have fun guys I'm out. This did look much more like a real football team then last weeks. Thats about all you can ask for in the preseason. Next weeks game would be the one to judge if you judge preseason games.

Chiefs' Maurice Leggett taken off with neck injury

Chiefs cornerback Maurice Leggett was taken off the field Saturday night on a cart after a scary neck injury left him on the ground for a number of minutes.

Leggett was knocked down while tackling Bucs running back Kareem Huggins. Both the Chiefs and Bucs held their hands together praying for Leggett while a stretcher was brought out and used to lift Leggett on to the cart.

And Saturday was a long night. It got worse after defensive back Maurice Leggett suffered a neck injury and was carted from the field late in the third quarter. Leggett was hurt while trying to tackle Bucs running back Kareem Huggins, and trainers tended to Leggett, a third-year defender, for about 10 minutes before placing him on a backboard and lifting him onto the cart. Players from both teams gathered on the field as Leggett was being looked at, and the Chiefs formed a semicircle and appeared to pray. The team didn’t divulge specifics of Leggett’s injury, saying only that he had hurt his neck and that he wouldn’t return.

The Chiefs looked deflated after the injury, allowing Tampa Bay to score 10 points in less than nine minutes. The Chiefs still have time to make adjustments, but after two games, it appears that their biggest hope this season might be one that was a concern all along: that the offense scores plenty of points — and that the defense isn’t often called upon to save the day.

If your defense doesn't get sacks or force a lower completion percentage, then they didn't get a whole lot of pressure. I mean, Johnson and Carpenter both had QB ratings over 120. You're not getting a ton of pressure on the QB if that's the case.

I didn't say it looked good but I do think it looked better then last year. That for the 2nd PREseason game is about all that you can ask for. If the coverage had been better since they I think we can all agree had an off night then who nos we might get a sack.

I was just trying to give a light at the end of the tunnel with a small joke. We're going to have our problems this year on this team that's for sure. But we should show improvement. This team really isn't showing signs of a setback when you look at the first team play. When we played against Atlanta we didn't look that great, but too we have to remember that was the first time this team had played at regular game speed in over 6 months, and for the first time this summer against somebody other than themselves. Last night could have been a victory, the first team did their job, though they could have gotten a couple of sacks. Aside from Flowers mistake the 1st team on both sides of the ball played better than Tampa. We probably could have won that game last night had Palko played a lot better and not allowed 2 INT's. Next week will be a great test for us.. back at home, against a team that is significantly better than us. If we can hold our own, stay ahead or keep it close for 3 quarters (That is if the starters play that long) then we should feel a lot better about this team.

We all know there was pressure, Hali was in the QBs face multiple times, along with Studebaker.

Hali got pressure in a lot of situations last year but couldnt close the deal..same old things so far this year.

I believe you, along with a few others said the was "no pressure". There was pressure just no sacks. Sacks would be nice yes but pressure is a good thing also. Pressure is what you ask of your defensive line. It helps the backfield do there job better. The backfield (we are talking starters) did not do there job all that well but the starting line certainly got pressure on the QB
