Just going through some stats.

Not counting the Bears and Packers who haven't played yet, the Steelers are the only team in the NFL that have allowed less points than the Chiefs so far this season. The Chiefs have allowed only 38 points to the Steelers 33 and if the 49ers wouldn't have scored that trash touchdown at the end of regulation, the Chiefs would actually have the lowest scoring defense in the entire NFL!

To top it all off, Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones are both in the top ten in rushing and are both on pace to rush for over 1000 yards!

Jamaal Charles is on pace for 1269 yards and Thomas Jones is on pace for 1156 yards. To have two backs blow by 1000 yards this year would make us a very respected force in the NFL. They are currently the #1 rushing team in all of football with 160 yards per game.

Jamaal is currently leading the league in runs over 20 yards and is leading all running backs in yards per attempt at 7.0

MORE FUN FACTS:

Tamba Hali has 3.5 sacks and currently ranked 7th in the NFL. There is 5 guys ahead of him tied for second at 4, following Clay Mathews who has 6. If Tamba keeps it up, he could end near the league lead in this category.
Brandon Flowers is playing like one of the leagues finest. Despite not getting thrown towards often, he is second in the entire league in pass deflections with 7 and second in the league in interceptions with 2.
Dustin Colquitt is second in the league in punts inside the 20 with 8.
Tony Romo and Tom Brady are the only QB's in the league who have been sacked less than Matt Cassel. Matt has been sacked twice in three games while Romo and Brady have only been sacked once.3-0 and with a two game lead in the division. Sounds good to me. We now have two weeks to prepare for the Colts. GO CHIEFS!!!!!!

The colts will provide a real test for our guys. I hope that with our two-headed monster run game, and our vastly improved Defense, that we can go to 4-0!

Rattle Manning early!!!! Do to him what we did to Rivers, it could be the same result.

Just as Haley pointed out he was on a 3-0 team in 2003..no body remembers that team.

Just saying we need to continue our aggressive playing until week 17.

Just state the obvious why don't you? Of course they need to continue to pay aggressive and tough football or we will not end up with any more wins than last year.:chiefs: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :chiefs:

Most underrated football team in the NFL hands down. We won't be favored all year...unless we beat the colts.

I hope that with our two-headed monster run game,

I am really coming around to this RB tandem.
I wasn't originally a fan of RB committee's, etc.... but I like the way that the KC running game is coming along.

Seeing that they have no running game I think that we could very well see that.

Romeo knows how to game plan for peyton as peyton had no success against new engand until romeo had left. houston is real up and down we have a legitimate shot at winning both of those games.

I really like what Weis is doing with these backs. You want to talk about wearing out a defense, just try stopping both of these guys. At any time, we have a fresh back ready to go that is going to work you butt over on the defensive line.

Two different kinds of runners too on top of that. Jones is much better inside, and Charles is the man getting outside. If the defense shuts down one or the other, it is going to be very hard to shut down both.

Now that Cassel is starting to show that we are also a deep threat, I think you are going to see defenses begin to lose their collective minds against this team.

I love RB committees. One RB is always fresh and it keeps the defense on their toes.

We have the balanced back in Jones. The speed back in Charles and a power back in Battle (that we should use more in short yardage situations).

Wow very cool stats. Thank you for that. ESPN or NFL network won't talk about that stuff. As a matter of fact they called them pretenders last week and still consider the Chiefs a team that just has an easy schedule. They have everything it takes to beat the Colts. One thing's is for sure though. Our rookie secondary's will be tested like never before, and I hope Romeo has them ready. GO CHIEFS!

Does anyone know what players on our roster will be coming up for free agency at the end of this season?

Does anyone know what players on our roster will be coming up for free agency at the end of this season?

Brodie, Jamaal, Wiegmann, Hali, and Ron Edwards contracts expire. Only Wiegmann and Ron Edwards have more than 6 years experience so the rest will be restricted free agents and Wiegmann and Edwards will be come free agents.
