View Full Version : I Was Wrong About the 49ers defeating the Chiefs

Me Bad... but how will the Chiefs come out of their bye? The next two opponents look very tough the Colts and the Texans are both very good teams, then you move into another easy stretch against the Jaguars and Bills, then you get the raiders in their house with Bruce Gradkowski, who is a tremendous improvement over Jalardass Russell, and Jason Campbell. Sadly the raiders finally woke up to this fact. I will be rooting for you guys when it benefits the Chargers of course. Go get 'em.

I believe that the Chiefs are filling the role that was filled by the Donks in recent years, that is jumping out in the early lead of the division only to have your hopes dashed by the Chargers at the end of the season. I just wonder if tears will be shed like Cutler when the Donks lost to the Chargers at the end of the '08 season?

We are still on pace for 19-0 but your entitled to your opinion.

With the coaching staff the Chiefs have in place I highly doubt there will be an implosion like the donks of last year.

I believe you've defined the meaning of a 'back handed admission of being wrong', lol. Our beloved Chiefs will come out of their bye 4-0, just like I believed we would be 3-0 going into the bye week...I wasn't wrong, haha. :)

I'm weary of looking for answers lately, but not related to our beloved Chiefs. Related to the Chiefs...I don't look for answers, just trust in Pioli, Haley, the Chiefs overall. So, the only further comment for now is...

"You can look for answers but that ain't fun...now get in the pit and try to love someone! Bawitdaba da bang a dang diggy diggy diggy said the boogy said up jump the boogy! Bawitdaba da bang a dang diggy diggy diggy said the boogy said up jump the boogy"

I to had the chiefs losing that game in my season picks. Boy was I glad to be wrong about that one.

As for us playing the role of the donkeys (not something us chiefs fans like to here) I can say that I don't think we are going to beat you at home. But I don't no if you are as good as you have been in the past few years. I think it's going to come down to our two teams. But I really think we have a real good chance to end your run as AFC WEST Champs. Can't wait to see how it plays out.

I'd say they are a little nervous in Charger land..They know this is'nt the 2009 Donks thats 3-0 right now. Look at their forums, yeah I admit I troll but I never post over there. I've seen at least three different threads on one forum in a week about KC's 3-0 start, and every one of them has laughable statements like the Donks were 6-0 and tanked or we always start slow then get hot yadda yadda yadda..

Their hopes were dashed by the Chiefs last year. You guys tripped into the playoffs. Your window is closed. Enjoy the bottom again. I know you dont really want to look at history as historically, the Chargers have always been an after thought in the AFC West. But you keep on believing...BTW, how did that belief help you out in the opening night Monday Nighter? :bananen_smilies046:

I think you need to plug your own leaks before asking us how we'll handle the Colts/Titans. So far you lost to a lucky Chiefs team (according to Charger fans), beat up on a weak Jags team at home, and choked down the stretch to a average Squaks team..Your schedule is so easy coming up. You have Cardinals, Raiders, and Rams as your next three. If you lose two out of three then I'm sticking a fork in your season.:crucified:

Another whiney dolt fan trying to stir up an argument. Whatever, the thing is fellow Chiefs fans, if you read his posts he is trying to use projection on us. He feels like his dolts are letting him down and he is crying in his mint julip and projecting(hoping) we come to share in his misery. The difference is we who have loved the Chiefs for so long are bummed when they lose, but still proudly waving the Arrowhead when they aren't. We have a heritage of winning. The dolts have a heritage of losing. Only thing I agree with him is Len Dawson is one helluva baller.

Haha, great reply's fellow Chiefs. Really though, keep it on your own forums. Oh and by the way, don't feel bad, everybody was wrong! Except for us!

So long as we play competitively against the Colts and Texans I'm happy. Both teams are very good and probably our toughest opponents this season. A win or two would be excellent.

In all fairness to an inaccurate prediction, I understand your choice with us losing to the 49ers. They are an extreme disappointment this season so far. Due more in part to Alex Smith's lack of leadership abilities IMO. They should have snagged McNabb when they could have.

Those loyal fans in San Diego can't even fill their own teams stadium, yet they're the powerhouse in the AFC? Maybe we can make Princess Rivers throw a little fit like he did on MNF but this time in front of his own home crowd. Should be a lot of fun..

The fact is the Colts Defense has not been playing up to par. With the Chiefs special teams and our running game we have a chance to put up so pretty good numbers against the Colts. Also with our #3 ranked defense we could very well have alot of pressure on Manning through out the game including a few good sacks. My prediction is the Chiefs will be 4-0 at the end of the Colts game!

Good choices, they're both among my favorite players, but not my top favorite players. I tend to be more partial towards defensive players, especially legendary linebackers. :)

According to sources, 75% Chiefs make it to the playoffs and only about a 34% chance for the Chargeless.

Where did you get these sources from?

Since the Colts are starting a rookie LT, we should be able to put pressure on Manning. He has been sacked 3 times already.

Mitch Holthus in the red zone with Soren Petro this week threw out a ton of statistics , I believe Looney on Chiefs live as well.

Teams with a 3-0 record statistically make the playoffs 75% of the time.

I wouldn't lump the chargers in a statistical category. They seem to be the anomaly year in and year out.

Don't forget about Lilja. He is coaching this week and knows some of their (O-line)tendencies himself I'll wager...

The Donkies filled that role only last year. The Role the Chiefs are filling right now, is the spoiler for the Chargers. As of right now, the Chargers are already one divisional lose down compared to last year. So your chances of taking the lead at the end of the season decreased.

You need to worry bout the Chargers before you worry about the Chiefs because your team could go to first to worste real quickly.
