It does have an actual effect on the heat. If you were to lay down a white jersey, next to a red jersey, in the sun, The red one would be warmer. While the pads do make players feel hotter, it can't hurt to have a slight temperature advantage. There are some disadvantages, like said above, the ball is easier to see against a white background. This isn't just a Herm thing, and I am not certain how I feel about it, just yet.

In my humble opinion, we'd stand a better chance wearing red. It adds to the them of Arrowhead's "See Red". It's a more exciting color to look at than white. For the fans, it's like they're watching an away game. It's just not the same.

Road whites, should be just that...ROAD uniforms. I don't like when teams do this. Although the gametime temp in KC is expected to be at or near 90 degrees. I can see the argument, I just don't like it. As for the color of the uniform and ball argument, not sure that makes a huge difference...unless your uniform is brown. Maybe that was Cincy's problem on defense last week...
