Are we the only team to have two road games to start the season?

We need this home game soooo bad.

I know the Saints did.

How does that happen?

Is it some algorithm they use based on win/loss, or what?

I am so glad we are playing at home this weekend. It will help build the team back up.

I'm not sure how it works. I'm just glad we got those last 2 preseason games over with. Now we can start owning teams in the regular season. :yahoo:

we are the only team to start the first 2 out of 3 games on the road, and to end the season with.

Atleast we are at home the week after our bye.

Atlanta has first 2 on the road, and 2 of the last 3 also...

I don't think that it is fair to do that to a team.

It puts them at a disadvantage right from the beginning of the season. Morale is low, the players have to hear the national broadcasters dis them all week (two for us).

If there is an even number of teams it shouldn't have to happen should it?

Half the league plays at home first week, then the other half play at home.

Is it scheduling conflicts or do they just hate the Chiefs?

What they should do is have everyone play division games the first two weeks and do a home/away rotating teams...(i.e. KC plays @Oak then home v. Denver...then Oak would have KC and @SD, SD would have @Den & v. Oak, and Den would have v. SD and @KC) The season should start and end with division games and the non-division/conference stuff should be in the middle. It would only intensify the rivalries and give a quick reference to which teams are the best in each division.

Dang I would make a good commish...

Agreed, but we need the road games just as bad.

Saints also started out 2 on the road, didn't bode well for them either.

I saw a list on ESPN after week 2 of the number of teams that were 0-2, and it was surprisingly long.

There are 10 teams that started 0-2 this year.

Yeah, I wonder how many of those where on the road vs at home and 1/1?

5 of them were playoff teams last year.

Well I think one of those teams really don't count 'cause they relied on about four other teams to get them there.

Chiefs, Saints, and Falcons are the only three teams to start 2 games on the road. All three of these teams are 0-2. I'm not surprised and am fully expecting that the Chiefs and Saints will get it going. Beginning the season with 2 road games is tough to do and both of those teams could vastly improve if they can glean some confidence out of a win in their home openers. The Falcons will probably be bad all year, though.

I am road-a-phobic!

It matters to the Chiefs. They need an ego boost to get kick started!

Give 'em a big dose o' Canadian and they will be winning big this Sunday!
