What Sup Guys and Gals! I'm not a Chiefs fan (Eagles) but I've always admired your fan base from afar and with your newfound success, I'm just wondering, what is the atmosphere like at Arrowhead and in Kansas City now a days?

Is it still somewhat dead, like its been the past 2 or 3 years, or is Chiefs nation alive and well again?

Arrowhead is load and proud again. The more we win, the harder tickets are to get. Things are good in KC again.

I was at 2 games last year and I can tell you the crowd didn't act as enthused as years past, in fact it was the first time I had heard fans of the Chiefs ever boo the Chiefs.

This year, Monday Night Football changed it all. The passion was back, the intensity, the true 12th man advantage. I had never seen a stadium come so alive as I did that night. I haven't been back to a game yet this season but I will be later next month. I can tell you from watching the games on TV that the stadium is back to where it was. The passion is there, The Red Sea is flowing again. New body. Same Soul.

Thanks for stopping by the Chiefs Crowd. We welcome fans from all teams so feel free to jump in any conversation. :D

I'm not as enthusiastic as Stricken is about the team. I mean we're playing really, really good football and I'm fired up but it's still not back to the days of old where the streets would be empty on Sundays and people would plan around the game.

People are starting to talk more about the Chiefs and if they think they're going to win more so than we know they're going to win but what party will you be at while you're watching.

Stricken is definitely right about tickets though. It's getting harder and harder to get a ticket and the more we win the more the scalpers are getting greedy. Which sucks because if I turn on the tv and see even a few seats that are empty due to scalpers trying to make insane amounts of money I'm gonna blow a gasket. Right now ticket prices are running double face value. Not quite that for the Bills game but dang close!

I say when we get to the end of the season and we lock up a playoff spot that it'll go from being a sea of red at Arrowhead to all of KC and to me that's when the Chiefs are back. Welcome to the crowd!

I can only say how the inside of the stadium is on game day. I live in Texas so it's kinda hard for me to say how the entire city reacts when the Chiefs are playing. I just know Arrowhead feels like it did back when I went to my first game in 06. Either way.. Go Chiefs! :chiefs:

I have been lucky enough to be at all the home games this year so far.

The MNF game felt like the old Arrowhead to me, it was loud and we stood the entire game.

The niners game was a bit of a let down for me with a large number of empty seats, mostly upper level but still more than I was expecting to see.

The jags game was plenty loud again, on the first defensive series that familiar roar came crashing down onto the field that gives us Chiefs fans the goosebumps.

The gold level seats the rich people sit in are mostly empty yet. I agree with the scalpers beginning to get more than there fair share for our tickets. I did secure season tix for next year due to that fact. We went to the indy game and had to buy our tickets via a scalper and they were right at 2x face value, a scenario that is making its way to Arrowhead.

I can't insert the actual video with it not being a utube video link, the video is an NFL production, so you'll have to go to the Chiefs official Facebook link to view it...but it's worth it, and will answer all your queries about Arrowhead...'The loudest stadium in the NFL!!' The link will say Incompatible Browser - Facebook...but clicking on it will take you to the Facebook video page. :)

The games maybe sell outs but on TV I've noticed scattered empty seats especially along the yellow middle section. But it does appear that the fan base is becoming more and more energized.

I've been blessed to attend all the home games this season, and I'm still very disappointed in many fans I sit near in upper level where my friend Kelly bought the Season Tickets. Way too many are sitting there like zombies, and I just for the life of me can't comprehend why? Even when there is a TD or great play I see fans not react at all!!!!!!

I have great inner self discipline ability, which is a good thing, because I want to smack some upside the head (gently) and tell them to make some noise & cheer when our Chiefs need & earn such!! I really get so frustrated with them. :(

As far as the club level...I don't understand that either. I was told those seats are held by wealthy individuals or corporations...well, why aren't they using them? Heck, there has to be many options for them to fill those seats, at least donate their tickets if not using them. I expect to see some changes related to filling the Club Level next year...cause it looks bad on TV and at the stadium too! I know for a fact the Chiefs front offices don't want those seats empty for the camera's.

Arrowhead has been much LOUDER then it has been the past few years. There is no more empty staidum at the end of the game like there was so often in the last 3 seasons. The Monday night opener the crowd made rivers throw fits. And it was like the late 90s It's not been that loud for the other home games but if this team keeps winning by the end of the season it will be and that is good to see.

Exactly! I can't imagine "Chiefs fans" not cheering when they have been given so much to cheer about especially at home. I mean, do they really need someone to tell them to get up and cheer? Maybe it's because they think that it won't do any good trying to cheer from the upper level; I don't know. If it were me I'd be cheering whether I thought it is doing any good or not.

Thanks for the welcomes. As an Eagles fan, I've always thought we were the best fanbase in the NFL, but I'd gladly take a backseat to the Red Sea

I noticed how passionate you guys were, last year at the Chiefs/Eagles game when there were a whole bunch of Chiefs fans at our field, invading our stadium. No fan base has ever had the guts to do that before and hold their own as well.

The Raiders game at Arrowhead should be crazy. From what I understand, those games are always crazy in the stands.

I can't say how it is at Arrowhead as I have never been! I am a lifelong Chiefs fan but live in Utah. I can tell you nobody yells at the TV louder, or roots harder for my team in Red than I do! The Chiefs are my Religion! If you are a true Chiefs fan you should be Loud and Proud!

lol yeah, a common misconception about that, is that it happened in 1968 and the Santa Claus was skinny and drunk, it was snowing and the Eagles were down big so everyone was pissed off and booed him and it kind of snowballed into somewhat of a myth

Yes I am happy about that lol. I actually don't hate the Cowboys but I'm just sick of hearing about them and them hogging all the good TV Slots.

Good Luck, just watch your back in the parking lot and if something happens, please don't generalize all of us lol

I've never been to a louder more energized public event than the Monday night football game this year. I'll never forget it! I confess that I especially liked seeing Rivers frustrated because no one could hear him.

I'd Imagine so. Phillip Rivers is one of the most arrogant and annoying QBs in the league imo (Only Behind Cutler)

I appreciate how you guys didn't trash me for being an Eagles fan. That is rare, whenever I go onto message boards, especially for the Redskins and Giants

You were respectful to us, so of course we will return the favor. Some fans just go right ahead and start trashing fans of other teams without ever really talking to the person, most of us here try to keep it as cool as can be. :bananen_smilies046:

Same here! As a fan there is only so much we can do to help our team win...12th man! I see it somewhat like voting...if you don't vote you don't have a right to ***** about the politicians. Well, if you're at Arrowhead not helping your team as a 12th man, then you don't have a right to complain when the Chiefs fail, because you failed to do your part too! It's double standards, hypocrisy in my mind. UGH!! So frustrating. :(

I'm the crazy ol squaw in 330 up & jumping all around, banging on seats & yelling! There are Chiefs fans nearby who sometimes give me irritated or disgusted looks, sometimes they laugh at me too. It's as if they're dumbfounded at times and don't understand what I'm trying to accomplish!

I think some think I'm drunk, and I'm never drunk...been buzzed a time or two, but never drunk. I'm never obnoxious or rude to anyone, ever, still...I worry sometimes I'll be reported as a fan disturbing the peace simply for making noise trying to help my team! I've seen it happen to other Chiefs fans and they weren't doing anything I don't do!!

It takes all I have not to say to some..."why are you here, why not just stay at home staring lifeless at the TV with the volume turned down, sitting in your lazy boy?!!"

Yes I often just go scalp tickets and i sat in section 302 for the 49ers game and got yeld at for standing up during touchdown celebrations, there were 4 that day but still....

Yep!! I've never been yelled at, but sure have been given some disgusted looks!

I'm always hoarse with sore hands after each game, but MNF I beat on the seats so hard I broke blood vessels in my hands! It could've been because it was the first game of the regular season & my hands weren't toughened up yet, haha.

Without my realizing it...my cherished LE Fossil KC Chiefs watch I've had for 20 years, went flying off my wrist at some point cheering at MNF! Canada & I had a show & tell of our Chiefs watches Saturday while riding with me after I picked he & Dan up at KCI. Near the end of the game, he happened to notice my watch on the concrete two rows in front of me, one row in front of him. Thankfully he knew it was mine, retrieved it!

The crystal is scratched some, & I thought about replacing it, but at the 49er's game a couple weeks later...Tammie commented the scratches were "battle scars" from MNF, LOL. Well, she's right...those scratches represent priceless memories, so that crystal shall never be replaced!! It will make a nice visual when telling the story to my grandkids, and hopefully great grandkids someday!! :D

I agree that at home games the 12th man is a very crucial part of the game as well as the whole stadium experience. However, we also must possess the talent and fortitude to win on the road where the 12th man is working against us.
