It appears more and more likely that Haley’s offensive front will have a new member on Sunday against the Bills. For the third consecutive day RG Ryan Lilja was limited in his participation during Friday’s practice because of the right hand/wrist injury. During the brief open window to practice for the media, rookie Jon Asamoah was at RG with the No. 1 offense.
While not confirming the Sunday status for either Lilja or Asamoah, the head coach thinks his young guard has had enough playing time to be able to handle whatever comes down from the Bills.
“Jon’s got a bunch of reps through the pre-season and regular season,” said Haley. “He gets consistent reps a long with other guys who aren’t in there. Whoever is playing should be prepared. That’s our job.”
Along with Lilja, it doesn’t look like the Chiefs will have the services of rookie WR/RB Dexter McCluster for Sunday’s game. As the Chiefs went through their third and final practice of the week Friday morning inside Arrowhead Stadium, McCluster was riding the stationary bike on the sidelines. According to the Chiefs, it’s an ankle injury and he’s been limited in practice participation all week.

Good for Asamoah. Hope he can play even better than Lilja.

I heard on the radio that Lilja is expected to play. He has been limited at practice to prevent further injury.

Good news; I just hope he doesn't injure himself further in the game.
