Chiefs to Resign Derrick Johnson?

I keep reading rumors (to this point) on Yahoo! sports saying that the Chiefs are poised to give Derrick Johnson a "lucrative" extension.

Let me be the first to say, I am stoked that Derrick is flourishing in Romeo Crennel's defense. I'll be the first to say that I was ready write him off after this year if he didn't do anything. He's had a big impact for this team and I'm excited to see how much better he is going to get in years to come.:chiefs:

he has been all over the field. if he wasn't getting his fingers buddy taped, he would have had those interceptions that he dropped last week. got to love his hustle as well, jumping over the o-line and landing on his feet after they flipped him.....that was something to see
