They can't defend the pass, and they can't rely on their own passing game...not gonna win games consistently in the NFL these days without both. Too many defenses can stop a one dimensional rushing team, no matter how good of rushing game...gotta be able to have a passing game to fall back on, gotta be able to defend the opposing passing game too.

The Chiefs are too predictable, and the teams opposing us do their homework...obviously. :(

Well, it depends upon your definition of reality and mine. The reality by my definition is our Chiefs began to take their success for granted, as many teams do...which when doing so it will dig themselves a pit.

The Chiefs have some of the NFL's top talent both offensively & defensively, coaching staff too. They let their success and the resulting media attention go to their heads after being on the flip side for the last 3 years...they're paying the price for that now.

WRong...there are easy schedules. And we happen to have one of the easier ones. Look at the combined records of the teams we have left to play...can you imagine what our record would be had we played the Ravens or Patriots schedule thus far? So yes there are easy schedules, whether we win or lose those games is irrelevent in regards to the strength of our schedule.

Not that its necessarily a good thing, since we have proven to play down to the level of the competition. Thats not good.....

That's because we've become too predictable as a rushing team, known for a problem team with passing and defending the pass. Our opponents know our weakness' and strengths. WTF happened to calling fleaflickers and 30-40 yard passes like we did in earlier games this season, not rush all the time. The last 3 games we've relied too much on rushing & short throws, our defense isn't making easy interception catches...on & on. It's easy enough to figure out the problems...problem is the problems aren't being resolved from week to week since the Jags game.

I understand your point of view, however...I don't look at shedules or stats in that way, never have for the most part. I don't think records & stats matter overall when it's all said and done...never have. Any team is beatable, no matter how good their record, and any team can win, no matter how poor their record. I don't believe records & stats tell the 'whole story' of how good a team is or isn't. There are other factors I consider to, as to why I don't pay much attention to a teams previous record or stats when schedules are released, considering them a tough or easy team...such as:

1) From season to season team rosters change...including GM's & coaching staff...no two teams are identical from season to season. Simply because a team was a tough team one season, doesn't mean they will be the next.

2) A team can lose some of their best players to injuries, which also can change how easy or tough they are to compete against.

3) On any given Sunday...a so called bad team can beat a so called good team. There are too many variants at play to believe any opponent is an easy team to beat...hence: no shedule is "easy".

Yes this is a very serious game if you havent noticed. If i were out on the field or coaching id have started playing hurry up offense starting off the 2nd quarter.

You cant pass protect a 3 man blitz thats the whole point of the blitz - its extreme pressure, and everyone knows Cassel sucks under pressure. So instead of waiting for your routes to 'develop' you need to come up with a different plan to thwart the pressure, like a quick dump option. This isnt rocket science. All the other successful QBs/teams in the league can handle this. I cant remember the last time weve done some form of audible after the D has shown their hand.

No, I was out of town for the weekend, returned home the game was already in the 2nd half. I came here to Chiefs Crowd looking for a free stream link as soon as I settled in myself & dogs in after being gone for 3 days. Couldn't find a stream, so turned on the radio...couldn't pull in 101 today at all. I'm a two hour drive from downtown KC...rural area, sometimes can't pull in 101 in bum frick no person's land, hahaha.

If all goes well on my behalf...I should be moved to Kansas City before Christmas...then I won't have all these issues being able to watch the game!!

This is been an issue since the start of the season, and is sort of a running trademark from my better memory of this team. Once the opposition figures out they dont have to worry about the 1st downs but just bomb it down field for big gains and big points, we're done for.

BTW sorry but the offense is indefensible. Only so many games in a row our O either blows the game or keeps it way too close before the D will break. Cant think of a team that has a great D with such a consistently BAD O.

Case and point. 4th and 18 and Cassel goes downtown. Not only does chambers commit PI offensively, but cassel's thrown ball wasnt even in the camera's field of view it was so overthrown.

This is NOT a recipe for a defensible offensive effort.

Every single game either our offense shows up or our defense does.....never both at the same time. Frustrating loss...finished well cuda packed it in way sooner. At least we still have heart...next week AZ at home is winnable and its basically for our season.

Wierd that Angler is always being so negative even in games we win...but in the one game we get blown out he's nowhere to be found. Please explain? Maybe I watched a different game but the Bronco defense didn't let up. They continued to blitz and put pressure on Cassel the ENTIRE GAME UNTIL IT WAS OVER. Bailey played hard all game and he got ripped apart. In fact, at one point he was told to come out of the game and he said no.

Cassel showed life and opened up the passing game. I don't care what you think but 469 yards passing is HUGE no matter what excuse you try to use. He also threw 50 passes and had ZERO interceptions. Thats good no matter how you look at it.

They're probably trying to make up for their a$$ kicking they got by the Raiders. Trying to keep the momentum going into next week against the Chargers. To be honest, I hope they do play the same way against the Chargers.

I speculate it's more along the lines of we embarrassed the Bronco's in their house the season finale of 2009, knocked them out of any wild card hope. A team doesn't forget a divison rival spanking like that, playoff hope killed.

Yep!!! He had a career record day, and he tied a historic 1960's Chiefs record too!! Only 3 WR's in the history of the Chiefs have had 5 consecutive games with TD's...Chris Buford, Otis Taylor...and now Dwayne Bowe!!! That's a lot of years between Taylor and Bowe for us to not have had a WR capable of such!

I couldn't watch the game, so have been reading here and other places around the net, including NFL.com for game highlights. Based upon what I know from reading only...I agree. Problem is...this is 3 wks in a row the team as whole didn't play well. The exception today was Bowe & Cassel did play well together...both had career record high days.

I agree!!! From what I've read around the net...Cassel played very well today overall, and with many negative factors against him. He proved he can pass, and proved we can have faith in him as a passing QB...he has what it takes!

Cassel and Bowe have been developing a great brotherly like relationship both on & off the field for quite a while now. Possibly, just possibly...today is the beginning of reaping the benefits from that close relationship. They're no Montana/Rice, but hey...who's to say they're not on their way to being the next great NFL QB & WR combo?! They both had a career record day today, despite the pitiful loss to Denver.

True, and this is the last I am going to say, on this game tonight. The defense did fail us. The run was shut down, but we could not pass the ball when we needed to, we could not make a play, when it was needed.

I think Cassel played pretty well and the offensive passing game was as good as I've seen around here in a while.

Also, like Cassel or not, you have to respect his warrior like effort. He couldn't run the whole 2nd half and yet kept giving his best in spite of the fact the Chiefs were out of it. Would have been easy to have taken a seat and let Croyle have at it, but he kept battling.

Mind you, we easily could have put 45 points on the board. We got stopped on 4 cracks from the one and Cassel's fumble (turned Denver TD) was deep in the red zone.

However, our defense was awful, and I am not sure why it was so bad. Never thought I'd be longing to see McGraw out there, but it wasn't just the safeties. Hali got no pressure and everyone on the front three was a no show. Flowers had his second bad game in two weeks IMO.

Good news is that we get everyone back @ Arrowhead and I think it will be a different story. I also think we kick the tar out of AZ this week and then put this game behind us.

Horrible, pathetic, embarrassing! Cassell looked like a Pro bowler, Bowe has turned into an elite WR, and our D played like a bunch of cheerleaders! They forgot to take their skirts off before the game and Denver punched us in the mouth from the start! Pathetic showing by our D, Cassell showed that he can be a great QB, even with getting sacked multiple times! Horrible game, we just lost to the faiders and the donks in a row! This has been a bad month! The good news is, next week we are at home where we are unstoppable! We take it 31-10 and get back on track to win our division!
