normally id really love these 1st and 20's situation, but meh. that doesnt mean much against the chiefs this game. 15-20 yards on 10 yard marker distances :/ - case and point, 19.5 yard pass.

lol angler - i dont think the D is playing real hard right now. its over and everyone knows it but theyre just going through the motions for sport.

As for Cassel's and Bowes performance today. Bowe ran a few good routes, but had some wide open opportunities. In games where he doesnt do that well, hes not so unguarded. I still maintain he can be inconsistent. Cassel is generally looking a lot better than hes looked perhaps all season in this game. hes made some head scratchers, but i can understand them at least (men wide open vs down the field and covered). The announcers have mentioned how theyve been working with Cassel as theyve clearly not been happy with his performance either IMO.

Cassel though even on that last touchdown to Bowe never looked anywhere else.
And while the D was mostly to blame for last weeks blowout Cassel didnt help a bit with all the early three and outs, his stats didnt start looking good till garbage time. Cassel makes bad decisions on third down and has to have one of the lowest third down conversion ratings in the league. He has his mind made up before the play who he is throwing to and never even looks elsewhere and takes far too many sacks when he could scramble and or throw away the ball.

I can say he has been very good on not throwing INT's but he really needs to learn to make progressions read the field and recievers.

So in a nutshell, I still dont feel Cassel is a good QB, lovin most of the rest of the team. There are some things that they need to work on but what team doesnt have that. If they are to make the playoffs this year it will be because we are a great running team, and in the AFC Worst.

Matt Cassel has this team at 6-4 and in first place. Matt Cassel was one of the few Chiefs that showed up at any point. Matt Cassel is doing his job. When we lose it's not Matt cassel loseing it's the Chiefs loseing. It's that simple we can win with Cassel. I am more sold on Cassle then ever. He is getting the job done period.

Of course he didn't look anywhere else. Bowe was open and he threw him a touchdown pass...not sure what else you want. It was man coverage - no need to look off...

Also, going into this game, Cassel's 3rd down conversion percentage was at 37.8% ranking him 22nd in the NFL. Tom Brady ranked 20th at 39.2% and Peyton Manning was 15th at 42%. Best in the NFL? Matt Moore at 50%. Guess he is the best QB in the world. I don't think you can legitimately criticize Cassel's decision making with a completion percentage near 60% and a 1.4% INT percentage. I do think a legitatimate criticism would be his accuracy, but it is improving. Guys can improve parts of their game that need work and we don't need to dump everyone who isn't the top 1-2 at their position, especially when they still have not reached their full potential...which Cassel has not IMO.
