I knew that was going to happen, I figured he would have until the end of the season though.

That hug from Haley makes me wonder did he know about Josh being fired if he lost to us?

thats really what I thought was going to happen.
I like to pretend though, that when Haley hugged him yesterday...that he whispered something like.
"your a DB...in case ya didn't know"! LOL!

Well, I think this is good news for The Chiefs.

There are plenty of negatives that you can point at him for.

But I think everyone knew that The Broncos were rebuilding, and, in his second season, he had already created one heck of a passing attack, with Kyle Orton, of all people.

No one is going to know what he might have been able to add to that in another season.

I think, if you are able to play competetive football in the second year of a rebuild, you should get a third year To try and get over the hump.

But I am not unhappy to see the broncos starting over....again.:D

I disagree. So many moves he made were horrible and he tore that franchise apart. I wanted to see him for tears to come!

one donkey fan claims it was a conspiracy. Mcspy threw the game

i know it's "unheard of in the nfl" but one could make a strong aguement that the broncos tried very hard NOT to win yesterday.
unlikely as it seems i look at the fact that mcD let up on the run game when it was working.
chose to punt when the game was on the line ?
now here's the juicy theory,
haley calls mcD (or vice versa) tells mcD he will ruin him and tell the world he was in on the spygate thing if he doesnt lay down for the chiefs.
mcD knowing the broncos are toast this season anyway and has a chance of finishing his contract in denver.
agrees....both coaches agree to keep it close ,no embarrassment for either side.
and at the end mcD gives up (punt) and the 2 coaches hug it out .
mcD gets a "pat on the head" from haley ,who keeps his mouth shut and gets his much needed win

I'm with you, I wish the Bronco's would've kept him at HC. Josh McDaniels is a brilliant X's and O's guy. He was a great OC, he's really good at managing an offense. He has his strengths, but his weaknesses far outway his strengths.

No one in the NFL has made more boneheaded personnel decisions than he has. The guy was a colossal failure as the head coach of the broncos. They were a tough and competitive team under Shanny, under Josh they were a joke.

Kyle Orton? Seems like they did pretty good on that one.

And Peyton Hillis? Who would have guessed? A white HB, who had not been very impressive?

He got one side of the ball to start performing pretty well. I would have allowed another season to try and get the other side together, as well.

Nah, he is a good X's and O's guy. He's a horrible personnel guy though. That's why the offense was performing well. If he knew he was going to draft Tebow, why did he trade Hillis for ANOTHER QB in Brady Quinn. Does he plan to somehow play all 3 of them?

He had a good QB in the first place in Jay Cutler. Sure Orton panned out. He also drove out Marshall and Scheffler.

How about last years first rounder Robert Ayers? He sure panned out....

In 2009, he traded away a 2010 first round pick for a 2009 second round pick...and then drafted Alphonso Smith, who they have already traded away for Dan Gronkowski (who?)...

Go look at the game log on Peyton Hillis. He flashed signs of greatness in Denver, especially at the end of the 2008 season, pre-McDaniels. It takes a knucklehead like McDaniels to ignore that he has a great talent on his team. Despite having Hillis, who performed well at the end of '08, he used an early first rounder to get Knowshon Moreno. Let's face it, he wouldn't have had to trade for Laurence Maroney either (who has done nothing) if he kept Hillis.

He let a great defensive coordinator in Mike Nolan go because he couldn't get along with him. The guy has a huge ego that he lets get in the way of his thinking...it clouds his judgement.

I'll even question picking Demaryius Thomas (who has been hurt all year). He already had Lloyd, Gaffney, and Royal, though Lloyd was someone of a bust until this year. Nevertheless, he blindly ignore huge holes on the defensive side of the ball.

59 points given up in a home game to the Raiders? C'mon.

Spygate II...

I took this all from an article by Adam Schein and threw in a few of my own thoughts here and there.

I remember watching the first Chiefs Denver game last year and I found asking myself who is that white guy that is just trucking all over our defense. The problem with Josh Mcdaniels is that he wanted all the responsibility but he is very young and there is no way he was going to beable to handle all of it by himself. Prime example is Haley... He was the qb coach, head coach, OC and whatever else he wanted to be last year and it showed like he was completely lost, and he sure didn't get any sleep thats why he was always cranky during the games lol.
