The AFL champion Kansas City Chiefs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kansas_City_Chiefs) (14-3) defeated the NFL champion Minnesota Vikings (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnesota_Vikings) (14-3), 23–7. Even though the Vikings were 13-point favorites coming into the game, the Chiefs defense dominated the game by limiting the Minnesota offense to only 67 rushing yards, forcing 3 interceptions, and recovering 2 fumbles. The victory by the AFL evened the Super Bowl series with the NFL at two games apiece.
Kansas City's Len Dawson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Len_Dawson) became the fourth consecutive winning quarterback to be named Super Bowl MVP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_MVP). He completed 12 of 17 passes for 142 yards and one touchdown, with 1 interception. Dawson also recorded 3 rushing attempts for 11 yards.
The crowd of 80,562 was a Super Bowl record for attendance.

Good times, man, good times...

This game being on my birthday, What I want for my birthday this year, is to be able to watch this game, and for a win, that will keep us from being swept by any team in the division. Even if we won only 3 games in a year, if one was against Oakland, One against Denver, and One against San Diego, it wouldn't sting near as bad.

I don't even want to think about this game.

In an unrelated note, however, 12/19 also happens to be my oldest sons birthday as well; he'll be twenty-two! :D

Wish I was still living with my parents, nope I am paying like 1500 a month for the house and utilities, not counting food, cable, phone and insurance.

Anyway niters, I am headed there myself.

Ok, for those who look at the stats!
I just want to tell you that football is played out on the field not on paper.
And, I honestly think that our Chiefs are going to win………… It may be a blow out or it could be a heart stopper but I believe that they’ll win. :)

Thanks for pointing out the streak that is still alive against the Raiders!

That made me smile!

:bananen_smilies046:

How many is that in a row now?

It was nine straight before last week... at 2 games a year... about 3 or 4 years straight?
