For all the complaints about the Chiefs lack of pass rush, they now have 31 total sacks, which ranks 14th in the NFL...
That's not too bad, especially compared to the last few years.
They could end up with two players in double digits, and 11 individual players have at least .5 sacks.
Of course, there is still plenty of room for improvement... but the old argument about the Chiefs not having "anyone that can rush the passer" isn't true anymore.

I think whats impressive is the 97 pass deflections. 2nd in the league.

its not that we don't have "any" pass rusher, its that we need "another" edge rusher to take some of the double teams off Hali and free up the backers to get thru

The pass rush has been MUCH better then it even was a year ago. It still could be better but all we can really ask for with as bad as it got at one point is for improvement to be shown each year and this year we have seen improvement.

I think the Chiefs need to blitz more and improve on their blitzing as well. I've seen way to many blitzes by the Chiefs where they didn't even come close to the QB.

Agreed- someone to book end the QB along with Hali.

And that frees up guys like Gilberry to make plays. Of course, having Hali and another sack monster would probably allow guys like Dorsey and Jackson more opportunities as well.

Has anybody watched Sam Acho from Texas? I think he is coming out this year IMO it would be great if the Chiefs were able to draft him because he would be a great compliment to Hali
