The Indianapolis Colts have released defensive back David Pender and have claimed defensive back Mike Richardson off waivers from Kansas City. Pender had been promoted to the Colts' active roster from the practice squad Dec. 8 after Bob Sanders went on injured reserve with a torn biceps muscle. Richardson was New England's sixth-round draft pick in 2007.
