Not only that but Le'Ron McClain tweeted this:
@LeRonMcClain33: RT: Per a league source, the #Chiefs have agreed to a one-year deal with former Raven Kelly Gregg

For someone that's not "officially" with the team he suuuure is keeping both eyes on them.

Well since I've had lots of good news with this thread here's some bad news. Jared Gaither has signed with the Faiders.

For one year and if he can stay on the field.

Nice- I didn't even know about this guy, and now he's coming to KC to play drain plug in the middle of the D-line! Cool to have a vet like that come in. In addition to some quality time on the field, hopefully he can help Powe get ready to be the future there.

Dude is BIG and will fill some gaps. Pretty disruptive from what I read.

Well yeah, the Ravens have long been known for their Defense, and I suppose if this guy's been with them for 10 years, they must have had good reason to keep him around.

I heard the Ravens wanted to resign him as well, but Gregg wanted more money than the Ravens felt like giving to a 34 year old.

We'll take him for a year!

The ravens let him walk... Who does that with a 26 solid prospect OT in this league? I think no one.

Something stinks... and from what I have read he is terribly injury prone and has terrible work ethic... I think we are better for it.

I dont want to come off like Im comparing him to Brian Waters but from what I have read it seems the two were in similar situations.

The reason they let Gaither walk is that they drafted Michael Oher.

Gaither is not a right tackle. He's a left tackle. The problem is that Oher is a better left tackle. So, the Ravens could either start Gaither on the left and put Oher on the right, and use both guys, or they could put their best left tackle into the game and ditch Gaither. His injury concerns didn't help at all.

Gaither also made the decision easier by wanting to be paid like a left tackle.

the raiders never signed gaithers cuz of back problems. which is why the ravens let him go. he missed all of last season cuz back injury.
