Torn biceps. Requires surgery and might be out for the season.

Not saying Pioli is a soothsayer, but it certainly seems like we dodged a bullet on this one.

I'm not really seeing this as a dodge bullet scenario. Most likely the scenario and conditions (activity/circumstances) that were in place when this happend would not have been duplicated in Kansas City, so there's no way to say he would have suffered the injury if he remained here. Again, no way to say he wouldn't have either. Mostly I just feel for him in that he's injured and his physical ability is what helps him feed his family. I hope he recovers and can continue to play in the NFL.

True- I don't think we dodged a bullet here. I think we cut him for our own reasons, and he had a (VERY) unfortunate incident in Carolina's training camp that left him injured. There's no way to know if he would have gotten injured had he remained here.
