Silly Canadians, he caught whales, can't you see? I hear those are very tasty, but they are hard to clean!

some perks of living here in AK. Fishing out of Seward

Went fishing out of Seward in 2009 and brought home two 40 qt coolers of frozen Salmon and Halibut we had a blast. I love AK. in July and August but that is the limit. We took a train trip to Mt McKinley/Denali and got to see both peaks which we were told only about 10% that go there can see. I really enjoyed my visit my son has a chance to end up there at the AF base in Anchorage when he comes back from Kuwait where he is being deployed next week for 10 months.

I hate it when I am fishing, and the fish interrupt the reason I am fishing! So I just throw a empty hook out, and fish for a beer out of my cooler! Because that to me is my way of just chilling out, on a bank of a river or lake, just enjoying a stress less period of time, a time of just pure relaxation. But no, that never happens, dang kids always want to catch fish, so no empty hooks, and dang it, they tend to catch fish! So I never get to go fishing the way I want to.:lol:
