You have Panda antivirus?

So if you tried lavasoft then you have also tried adaware right?

You might need a specific removal tool.

chief31 and I are working on getting this ventrilo thing working.

Will post back in a bit!

As a last resort you could back your stuff up and take your machine back to factory specs. This is usually a long and pain-staking process.

housecall.antivirus.com is a good site, Also there is a disk called ultimate boot disk where you could boot parallel to windows and remove the virus and such without it running. It also have a bunch of built in virus and spyware removers. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at 217-428-8204 I can call you back if you would like. Also hermshaters help would be a good alternate route.

Don't guarantee that man, there are sometimes viruses that cannot be removed without special techniques...

Very true. It will help but no virus scanner is 100%.

I usually use Adaware from lavasoft and AVG for virus-scanning. I've used avast before and it's ok.

If you can't use one of the standard scanners to remove the spyware/viruses, they may be embedded too deeply to get rid of them without formatting your computer and reinstaling windows. It's something you definately don't want to have to do but sometimes is necessary to fix software issues.

I'd agree with computer guy. Adaware is pretty much the gold standard as it pertains to removing spyware. And you can get it for free below. For those of you that aren't sure if you have spyware on your computer, I would suggest trying this software out if you don't already have a spyware tool.
