Would it be wrong to wear a Trent Green jersey to the game tonight? First game ever for me, any advice?

Trent is a Chiefs legend, then I guess it doesn't take much to become legendary in KC. Think about it.

The only etiquette for a Chiefs game is you must wear red. That is the only rule!

That got you neg rep from me, be careful how you talk about the Chief's, Trent Green is a Chief, that is where he made is mark in the NFL, that is where he played his best as a NFL player, and lead the Chiefs well in his time as QB of the Chiefs! Chief fans look at things different than faders do. Trent Green was a leader on the field and off the field! He was a true leader, a Chief Great! But I guess we Chiefs look at character of a player different than fader fans.

That would be a certain fact!

I see that being opened minded is one of your strong suits. Anyway, a legend by definition would have to do something legendary. As opposed to player who was solid. Trent Green, IMOP....and just by his on the field performance...(being a great citizen not withstanding).....was a very solid player. Legendary status should held for players who truly had defining moments and of course are in the HOF. For example, Derrick Thomas was a legendary player, has much as I hated his great games against the Raiders, the man was awesome and unstoppable(up there with LT). Willie Lanier is a legend, as are Lenny Dawson and Otis Taylor. In order for the word "legendary" to have meaning, it must be used conservitaly in order for to retain its meaning.

Yoda! I am very much open minded, I am also very Patience and to a point, to much so I think. All the Chiefs you have named above are legendary Chiefs! But you just do not get it! Trent will be also one of them! It is not always about winning, but how you win. It is about the player as a Man! Chief Fans want and praise Chief players that are great off the field, and are role models to our children. Not what some other players or teams strive for. We only want the best, win or lose. Why do you think the Chief Nation turned on lj so fast, he was not worthy of being a Chief! Yes we will win, but we demand a higher standard, We expect strong character in our players, not just physical skills. Just my personal thoughts.

I put "open minded" in quotes because your clumping a whole fan base. Namndi is missed for his contributions on and off the field. Anyway, I understand what you are saying about integrity and character. You have a very eutopic idea for building a football team. But, as you say....Chiefs turned on LJ because apparently he came up short on these ideals. What about DT? He was a beast on the field, a great humanitarian off the field...but fathered and ignored 7+ children with other women outside his marriage. In that sense, was he a great role model to Chiefs Nation children? Is that showing high character and itegrity? If not, then why not turn on him? I just want to know where the line is drawn on " character" and "integrity"?Now we will see just how opened minded you are.

39 wins in 4 years when was the last raider QB to accomplish that

Who was the last Chiefs QB to win a SB let alone a playoff game?

Listen, if Chiefs fans want to make a legend out of a solid player and that's what it takes along with the character criteria. Go for it, as for me and most of the fans of the other 30 teams...legend will be reserved for players who had legendary moments.

THAT WOULD BE LENNY DAWSON, A FOOTBALL LEGEND, as well as a CHIEFS legend.

Dude, I wear my Peter Warrick jersey to Bengals games. People will give you a pat on the back. As a matter of fact, buy the classic jerseys. That way, you don't have to keep updating and spending money on jerseys.

Exactly! All I buy is throwback jerseys, I rock either Bo Jackson, Marcus Allen, Jim Plunkett, or Ken Stabler.

Bo was a beast; one KC Fans loved in baseball season and hated in football season! :D

I agree with this, I buy the classic players, the way things are now, buy a Charles jersey and he may be gone in a year. The days of one guy playing on your team start to finish are over.

No jerseys of that "Former Chiefs Player Who Shall Remain Nameless" please.

actually as much as we hate some former players, wearing their jersey long after their gone is more a wearin' of the colors than honoring the player. although i would advise wearing those select few to your local bars [not in KC] rather than to ARROWHEAD to get some use, and as an added plus if you spill beer on it you won't feel as bad!
