Are you happy we never drafted him now?

NFL.com news: Demoted Curry says 'all questions will be answered on Sunday' (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8227ae90/article/demoted-curry-says-all-questions-will-be-answered-on-sunday?module=HP11_headline_stack)

well..... we got tyson jackson instead. pretty much even.

The only top 10 winners were lions with stafford and the packers with raji.

what a terrible draft class......

Guess you never know. I thought he was the right guy at the time. But that's happened to every team. We've had plenty of Curry's.

I take terrible draft "class" back. there was some great first round talent. I meant to say terrible top ten drafts.

He's in the wrong system for his abilities... much like Glenn Dorsey would be a much better fit in a 4-3.

So I guess he's available then. Someone else should make proper use of him in time IMO.

He's not available, he's just demoted. Is he an inside backer?

Well, demoted sure, but the article mentions how his deal has been restructured in a manner in which they will not receive as much a blow to their cap if he is lost/traded/etcetera... just speculating he may be available sooner than later. Who knows.

I actually DO feel a bit better cos I was annoyed when they didnt draft him, but yea, 2009 was a weak year for rookies.

Is it just that Curry is in the wrong system for him? Or is he showing up fat, late, no effort, etc.?

Possibly

If we got him cheap, I'd be happy with more LB depth.

I wanted him as a draft pick, I still want him now, if he can be what his ability he showed in College can be properly transform in to a NFL Pro!
Sometimes I think we forget, these are still young adults coming out of college, thrust into a multimillion dollar position. But they are still young, and have no clue yet! But the ability is there, to be developed! I would still grab him if he becomes a free agent.

There was this Steve Young dude who was 3-16, <54% completion percentage, 21 INTs to 11 TDs and a QB rating of 56.9 / 65.5 in his two years there.

Then there was this Steve Young, Hall Of Famer dude that played for the 49ers.

Just sayin'....

( one team's bust can be another's HoFer... )

I think this is a good point. And this kind of thing happens all the time in the NFL. Remember running back Ethan Horton for the Chiefs, who sucked here, then went to the Raiders and became a fantastic tight end?

If KC could get Curry to come in, maybe the fresh start in KC would spur him to play like he was drafted to play.

3-4 Systems can never have to many athletic LB's, I would love to get him here and see what he can do, even if he doesn't become a super star, he could still ad better LB depth than we have right now.

I had heard the going rate would be a 4th round pick. I wouldn't be upset if we got him for that. A potential 1st round talent for a 4th round price tag, not much to complain about there.

If he did turn it around, and lived up to what he should be that would be a mean LB corps (Hali, DJ, Curry, & Houston. With Belcher, Siler, and Studibaker rotating... Not bad)

I read 7th round this coming draft and another pick in 2013

I would say the Raiders got the better side of this pick. Low draft trades with the possibility of high output. He obviously has the tools, maybe he just needed the right system?

We'll have to wait and see but I'm gonna go out and say the Seahawks are likely gonna look like boneheads on this one, but who knows right?!
