Didn't put this all together, but heard it, and thought wow....maybe we have something to look forward to.

I knew Palko went to Pitt, but I didn't realize that he was the reason Joe Flacco transferred to Delaware. That might tell us we could have a hidden gem (will found out in about an hour)

Anyways, if he was good enough that Flacco (worthy of a 1st round pick) couldn't supplant him in the starting role, he may be a little more talented than we are expecting.

I know he is fired up to play so I hope he get's the team fired up as well. And maybe gives us a little hope moving forward???

Never Know, this is how Brady got his job (and Cassel too haha)

Another interesting fact: he is 28 right now. Another back-up QB got his first NFL start at the age of 28 ... Kurt Warner.

I doubt he is that good, but just an interesting coincidence.

Maybe a rough diamond that will never be polished and has several cracks in it? Palko looked like a first game QB should, he avoided the rush pretty decently but when you asked him to throw the ball it was inaccurate at best. He hasn't changed at all since I saw him at training camp.

This was the lone highlight, I applaud him for this.

He was decent in the first half anyway. I really didn't expect anymore than that. I was hoping he would come out and look like Joe Montana and carve up the defense, but expected what we got, so I'm not overly upset or disappointed. I have resigned myself to the fact that this season is over for us and we are going to be looking at an extended preseason for next year for about another month and a half. I don't like it, but unless you want a coronary, sit back and enjoy the show, but DON'T expect to win. It may not happen again this year.

First of all it's only been a week. Second he threw for more passes than Cassel does in the avg game. Yes it did not play smart but for the most part I do not think he did that bad. Alot of other areas were lets say lacking also. And I think we were all hoping he played like Joe Montana and the rest of the team like the Packers right?

I'm starting to think I can play for the Chiefs I can throw the ball 45-50 yards which is well below an average qb but I'm not sure Palko can throw that far.

Palko is going to take a Grenade for Stanzi at least until we get past this 5 games stretch of pain and suffering against the defense of the Steelers, Bears, Jets and Packersassuming Palko does not get hurt.

Stanzi will get his first start against Oakland at home.

He has a better chance of being our Hidden Gem.

I thought our biggest problem against the Pats was the lack of adjustments at halftime...not that Palko sucked.

It was seriously a tale of two half's, we made the Pat's offense look like the Cleveland Browns Offense in the first half. Crennel's scheme was confusing the hell out of Brady, and he didn't know what to do! we were innovative, and brought pressure, I think we had like 3 or 4 sacks in the first half, not to mention plenty of QB preasures. In the second half it's like we went back to our base D, and didn't use the same way to dial up pressure. Just don't understand it. You know Belichick made adjustments at the half, and it really didn't look like we did at all.

not saying that Palko played lights out, or is our savior, but I thought the offense looked a heck of a lot more productive than it normally does with Cassel. He did a good job of avoiding pressure, moving around and outside of the pocket, and without a couple big penalties, would have had a much more productive game.

Like I said, I'm not saying he is our savior, but I think he deserves more credit than what he is getting. The biggest reasons we lost that game

1.) Bad penalties and critical points in the game (red zone trips, and big run by Jones)
2.) The onside Kick failure kind of took the wind out of our sails (which I applaud Haley for being confident and out of the box)
3.) No Adjustments at Halftime, allowing the Pat's O to carve up our D. (If we can't remember the Halftime score was only 3-10, with the only TD coming on a big play in the 2nd, no other big plays in the first half.
4.) and of course the Punt return for a TD.

Side note: I also thought we should have went for that 4th and inches when we were on the 40 in the 1st half. I think with how we had been moving the ball, we would have got it, and The old Haley would have done it (Grudden, Jawarski, and Tarrico were surprised we didn't go for it as well)

As for Palko's picks, Not all were entirely his fault, two were tipped, yes they were off a bit, but it wasn't necessarily the DB making a great read on the ball, more of a right place at the right time.
