Culpepper garners AFC weekly honors

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Oakland Raiders quarterback Daunte Culpepper's first start of the season helped him earned AFC weekly honors for the fourth week of the season.
Cornerback Jabari Greer of the Buffalo Bills and kicker Dave Rayner of the Kansas City Chiefs were also named to the weekly honors.
Culpepper won offensive honors as he made his first start of the season and totaled five touchdowns, three on the ground and two through the air, to help his current team to a 35-17 win over his former team in the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Culpepper threw for just 75 yards in the game on 5-for-12 passing and added 28 yards on the ground on seven carries.
Playing in his ninth season out of Central Florida, it is Culpepper's ninth player of the week award.
Greer's fourth quarter interception helped set up the game-winning touchdown drive in Buffalo's 17-14 win over the New York Jets. He took over for Ashton Youboty, who left the game with an injury in the first half, and finished the contest with five tackles, two passes defended and his first career interception.
In his fourth year out of Tennessee, it is Greer's first weekly honor.
Rayner tied a career-high as he converted all three of his field goal attempts (21, 25 and 41 yards) and three extra-point attempts to help the Chiefs to a 30-16 road victory over the San Diego Chargers.
In his third season out of Michigan State, this was Rayner's first weekly award.

I can't stand seeing anyone from the Raiders win anything.

weren't all his TD's like 3 yard runs and then he threw for 75 yards against a crappy find D?

Culpepper will not keep it up. Hes not consistant enough. He will getinto a groove thinking he can hold onto the ball forever and not go down again, like when he played in Min or Mia. Same problem Oak had with Brooks.

As soon as some opponents manage to get some pressure on him, I think we will see the Duante Culpepper that the Dolphins became familiar with.

Agreed. If he starts thinking he is going to just run on teams, he has another thing coming and that knee may not be fine for too many more weeks if he starts holding onto the ball too long, thinking he can make a play when he really can't, and starts taking some shots.
