I miss the days

I really miss the days when teams had to worry about how to beat us. When a coach looked at the schedule and worried about how to beat the Cheifs, and not just thinking that it "should" be a win. The days when Arrowhead was a decided advantage before the coin toss. We'll see that again, but I really do miss it.

Me too. I miss the days when the chiefs played at home the other team knew it would be a loss. I miss the days when the chiefs had so many penalties in a game but they still won. What happened to them?

I agree with you AZ we are not that far away. Our defense is just lacking depth and with a legit OC we have enough offense if we shore up the line.

I agree we are not that far away. With the talent that is on this team.

That's why I am so anti Haley right now. This team has more talent then the dolphins yet we let them come to Arrowhead and beat us down 31-3 then tonight we have a qb who turned the ball over 3 times on monday and then on 3 STRIGHT snaps and we just keep running him out there and the offense looked lost. This from a head coach who is suppose to be a offensive coach. I have seen enough of him. This team has begun looking for to much like a herm edwards team. So no Haley is not the guy to take us anywhere.

It was so obvious for most of the game. Run when you know they are going to run, pass when you know they are going to pass. I know it's a bad QB in there, and they didn't have a lot of room in the play book for him, but sometimes I wonder if we have a playbook. YET, we still had a chance to win that game.

I'm not sure what you mean by the borrom, then. they have 4 more wins than the Browns in their division and 8 more wins than the Colts in their conference.. Are you talking about a specific statistic? I'm confused.

You always read when Dickie was here with Saunders that defenses never knew what was going to be run. I liked that. They always seemed to go for the throat. Now its run for acouple,delayed draw and pass.
We had a OC,the coach kept his noise out of it and mixed it up. Can we do that with our QB,OL, probabley not but after 45 drives without a TD it wouldbe nice.

I'm not that upset either, mainly because I knew how bad our O was, and also I always thought we had a good D. Our D has given up in some games earlier this year but not last night.

If our O actually played, our depth on our D would not look as bad. These 3 and outs are very hard on any defense. We do have lots of talent on offense, but are seriously lacking leadership. If we ever have anyone step up whether it be coaches or QB, we should have a decent offense.

I also agree with this but it's not just lack of depth. Even if our entire defense was healthy, they would still be getting tired out there. You can only go full speed and give 100% for so long without resting. Good depth helps because you can rotate in fresh players, but the roster only allows you to have so many players at each position, and injuries to starters are going to hurt any team's depth no matter how good it is.

I agree with this too. Better leadership would help but a better O-line would help more. So would a staring QB who makes more accurate throws ,,, and a healthy Jamaal Charles ... and better focus from our receivers (not dropping the passes that are thrown accurately). If we can fix the O-line I think the rest of the weapons are there, when healthy, The offense just needs to execute better. And better play calling wouldnn't hurt either.

Well, one thing about it, the fan base is still hanging in there. Gotta give it to the Chiefs fans lastnight. We were almost outnumbered...just can't believe that....and we still mustered up alot of noise. The San Diego monday night was unreal volume. So at least the teams still have to deal with our crowd noise. Once again, great job to all that went and got loud!

Ah look....we're all frustrated, pissed off and missing the "good old days". Last night if I had been in the stands I would probably have run out on the field and tried to strangle Palko.

But we have to hang in there and be Chiefs Fans! No matter how bad this season gets.

Palko has to go even if we have to hire Lenny Dawson as QB for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, everybody who played a down on D should get a $10,000 bonus for last night's performance. Even with Palko stinking up the joint our D fought like they were playing in the Superbowl. Our D isn't perfect yet, but once we get our O fixed we'll be damned near unbeatable.

Yeah....I miss the "good old days", but I honestly think we are only a year or at most two from having the "good old days" back again!

Yeah, the defense did thier job and the offensive line looked pretty good. This game was ours to win if it wasn't for some of the most blatent telegraphed ints i've ever seen. Trust me, people were beginning to chant "Stanzi"....

It's not like removing Jackson from the starting lineup would be a huge risk.

I also think we need to start seeing something of Powe, and need to see the 'talent' of Houston show up.

Yeah, I've never even heard of that guy. Where'd he come from? I thought I at least recognized the names of all the players on the Chiefs but his was new to me.

I hope he earned more playing time. I would like to see what else he can do.
