Jackson is still playing 3-4 DE.
Here is a look at the elite 3-4 defense, and how their DEs perform at the Sacks statistic....
On the left side, where Jackson plays, The Steelers have Ziggy Hood (0.5 sacks, in ten starts) and Aaron Smith (0 Sacks, in four starts)
And, on the right side, they have Cameron Heyward (1 Sack) and Brett Keisel (3 Sacks, in 10 starts)
And, between their three NTs, they have a, combined, 0.5 Sacks to go with that.
That's five sacks, from the three starting positions of the d-line from the 3-4 prototype defense.
Our front three positions actually have more sacks than they do.
Can we please stop carrying on about Jackson not getting enough Sacks?
And Tackles?
Jackson has 36, while the two guys playing that position for The Steelers have 27, between the two of them.
And, on the other side, Keisel 35, and Heyward has 8.
Dorsey, alone, has 41.
Dorsey and Jackson have both done extremely well this season.
They have had lesser games, but, on the season, they have both been very good.
So, maybe we can stop trying to get rid of these guys, on the grounds of you not understanding their jobs, hunh?
