You can't continue to rush 3 only and give Rogers all the time to stand back there till someone gets open.

Well I will eat my words I should have taken the 14 points I guess the play of the QB and play calling made all the difference in the world.

Now I can see why Haley was fired and I liked him but I think it was the correct call. There must have been things that we did not see going on behind the scenes.

Also the '72 Fins better send a case or two of bubbly to the Chiefs.

Oh screw you Fox Sports....gotta give it to the Chiefs buuuuuut here's a list of reasons of why the Chiefs winning was more about the Packers helping the Chiefs win.

i can't believe i called this one right, i predicted an upset, not cause i always pick the CHIEFS but i saw it as the perfect trap game for the pack. KUDOS to the CHIEFS, Crennel, Orton, the D, the O line. Succop, the water boy the fans, everyone!! WOOHOO!!!!!! still seemed to be downplayed on espn, seems they are lookin more to the tebow / brady matchup.

I have been calling it around my football buddies to. Only to be laughed at. Now They all seemed to have disappered I can't imagin why.

And who cares that the media shows us no love. The scoreboard will SCREAM to anyone who really knows what they are talking about.

I told my Packers fan wife that this was a dangerous game for her Packers. I told her I expected to lose by 30+, but the Chiefs D can lay a hurtin' on a team if they overlook them.

I had to laugh. The 'no love for KC' policy continued into ESPN's highlights of the game!

3 minutes of highlights, which mostly featured; Green Bay's first TD (for which the announcer said 'Finally, green Bay on the board after being shut out), making sure to highlight that they think Pope fumbled into the end zone, and the drive that scored GB's second TD of the game.

They did show some KC highlights, but very little mention of the fact that we bashed Rodgers into the turf (Hali in particular), or that we settled for field goals, but this score could have been MUCH worse for them.

Thanks, ESPN!

Well, Okay. i went back and checked your posts. Here is where you "predicted an upset."

as much as a million to one shot could be, this is possible. no matter what their coaches say there cannot be a single player on the packers who are going to take the CHIEFS seriously. the best team in football playing one of the worst. BUT, we will be starting a new QB, w/a new head coach and game plan. although they have seen orton before, but not in a CHIEFS offense and he has played against this same packers team before. with a few lucky bounces and the refs throwing a few bad calls our way the upset of the year [I]can happen...remember the rams beat the saints.!!

Not the most confident "prediction" I have seen, but you were right. It could happen and it did! Kudos!
:bananen_smilies046:

I made a prediction, too, at the beginning of this thread. Let's see how I did ...

... If our offense can just sustain some drives, even if most of them end in just FGs, then I think the defense can hold the Packers to below their season average of 35.8 ppg.

Let's see Our offense sustained some drives, even though most of them ended in field goals (4 out of 5) and our defense held the Packers to below their season average!

Protecting the ball is a must because the Packers defense leads the league in interceptions, but we've shown in past games that we are pretty good at picking the ball off as well.
There wasn't a single turnover for either side the entire game so I was only half right there!

With home field advantage, if we can win the turnover battle I think we can at least keep it close. If we lose something like 27 17 or so, I will see that as a very positive step in the right direction.

Well, we didn't win or lose the turnover battle but we did keep it close and i could only classify the outcome as very, very positive.

Orton is a very good "game manager." he didn't do anything amazing today - I think he only completed one "long" pass - but he made good decisions and didn't cost us the game. Romeo had a great game plan and everybody, offense and defense, stepped up today.

It's just one game, but it's a great start. I can't wait to see what the next two weeks bring us.
