Case Keenum Stats, News, Videos, Pictures, Bio - Houston Cougars - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/college-football/player/_/id/191981/case-keenum)

How can a human being throw a ball as much as this man and average 69% completion. This guy threw 5631 Yards and 44 touchdowns and only 8 interceptions. On top of all of this he wins a lot of games including BOWL games. In his career he as thrown 155 touchdowns and only 46 interceptions with over 19,000 passing yards. One more thing to add to this list outside he breaks records he has average talent on his team for instance can you tell me who is wide receivers are with out looking them up I couldn't. The Chiefs need this guy like a fat kid needs cake.

Spread teams like Texas Tech have had players put up great numbers like him and they have never amounted to anything in the pros. None of the draft experts think very highly of him so he might pan out but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

The reason that Keenum has "flown under the radar" is because Houston plays in the horrible Conference USA. Here are the ranks of every team they played this year.

58, 65, 45, 35, 97, 86, 76, 95, 111, 118, 66, 30, 23 (loss), 26

The average rank is 62nd!

16th ranked Houston never played a team ranked higher than them this year and the only team they played in the top 25 was Southern Miss (23) who they lost to by 3 touchdowns, 49-28.

They did beat 26 ranked Penn State in the Ticketcity Bowl, a game played in nearby Dallas, TX against a team with no head coach reeling from a national sex scandal.

Yes he put up great numbers, but just because he can move the ball against East Carolina, doesn't mean he can do it against the Ravens or the 49ers.

Just for comparison sake let's look at Dan Lefevoure, a Central Michigan QB who the Bears drafted in the 6th round (181st pick) in 2010. He held the NCAA record for most total TDs ni history (102) before Keenum broke that record this year. He passed for 12, 905 yards (missing 3 games his junior year.and only threw 36 interceptions. 23 of those came in his freshman and sophomore years.

So how did this stud QB do in the NFL? He was waived after the 2010 preseason by Chicago, in hopes of putting him on their practice squad, but the Bengals claimed him off waivers. He was waived by Cincinnati on Sept 4, 2011 then released from their practice squad 2 days later. The Colts signed him on November 8, 2011 (and he couldn't even get in a game there!) and finally Jacksonville signed him off the Colts practice squad on November 25th.

4 reams in 2 seasons. Never played a snap. But he broke records in college.

This is what you can expect from Keenum.
