Who is Daboll and what has he done that makes him a solid catch. :feedback:

Very good question. I don't see anything too impressive with his track record with Cleveland and Miami. I know there were reports he seemed to go to the extreme in riding Colt McCoy, so I wonder if this team needs a young hot-head coach. I can't help but think he might be riding the Belicheck train and getting a little more responsibility than he deserves. The Patriot pedigree is what scares me considering Pioli's fascination with all things New England. I just wish we would throw money at Carmichael from New Orleans as our OC/assistant head coach. We need to get a young coach to groom as the heir-apparent to Crennel.

Daboll spent 7 years in NE. It's that familiarity thing coming around again.... We'll see how it works out.

There is some stories floating around he is a bit like Haley. I can't remember Miami exactly lighting it up but I don't follow them much.

I went to wikipedia, to look at this Daboll's credentials, and they already have him as being pegged by Crennel to be the Chiefs 2012 OC. Not sure how credible this is because I can't find it anywhere else but it's out there.

I am disappointed more for what seems to be Pioli's inability to think outside of the "Patriot box" and create a Kansas City identity.

They had a great second half of the season. He utilized reggie bush well, brandon marshall and matt moores last 8 games were pretty solid. A definite yes man though not what i was hoping for. We have more talent here so one can hope.

I'm kinda tired of hoping though, guess I was expecting another Weis to come on board given our situation. I trust Romeos decision more than my opinion, all I know is the little I read about him, but I'm weary from being disappointed after last season.

Chiefs in discussions with Brian Dabol to become next OC... (http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/article-2/Chiefs-in-discussions-with-Brian-Daboll-to-become-offensive-coordinator/39470e91-79ba-486d-8022-12647457b499)

Just posted to KCCHIEFS.COM

Don't know much about him either Would have loved to have had Saunders back, but I will do some research on this guy to see what I find out.

Miami did have a good 2nd half of the season on offense, and Reggie Bush did have his best season as a pure runner so my hopes that are with JC he can do even better!

2011 Miami Dolphins offensive rankings:

Yds/GM: 317.4 (22ND)
Pts/Gm: 20.6 (20th)
Total Points: 329 (20th)
Yards per play: 5.1 (22nd)

Total Rushing: 1,987 (11th)
Rushing Yds/play: 4.2 (11th)
Rushing yds/gm: 124.2 (11th)

Total Passing: 3,091 (23rd)
Passing yds/gm: 193.2 (23rd)
Passing yds/play: 7.3 (13th)

Not to impressing if you ask me... You can definitely tell that he is a run first OC and focuses on controlling the game, which is what Pioli seems to like...

Don't think we will be seeing anything too creative next year if he is hired.

And with a quick look the 09 and 10 Browns Offenses were worse off than that....most categories ranked in the low 20's...

And a quick look at Al Saunders stint with Oakland this year....

Was 7th in total rushing,11th in passing offense, 9th in yds/gm, 16th in total points & points/gm ...

Not sure of the reasoning behind this but I think I might be upset if this this Daboll guy gets the job over Saunders...

Well it's kinda looks that way. I'm not too sure why. They must see something no one else does.

Daboll and Pioli areboth from the Fatherland...aka New England. It's no longer Arrowhead but Foxboro Mid-west.
